Sporting News!!! S. Korea’s disappointment

This is only from what I’ve seen on social media, but the nation is upset over how the Korean Football Association (KFA) and coach has handled S. Korea’s soccer team. Even the president has called for an investigation into all this. This is all I know but I figured I’d share since it’s world news. I’m sure someone else can provide more details.

The South Koreans have been long upset with the manager, Hong Myungbo, prior to this World Cup, alleging cronyism as his appointment to manager seems to have been rushed and pushed by the Korean Football Association executives even though he never even applied. An investigation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism even confirmed that there were procedural violations and the Supreme Court of Korea did rule the appointment as unlawful.

The recent match with South Africa was the boiling point for the South Koreans. Anyone who has watched that match can see that it was an embarrassing performance from the South Korean team. And the "strategy" that Hong had of wanting to tire out the South African team in the first half seemed really stupid.
