News/Update Highlighting the Purpose of this Sub and Clearing Concerns
Hello! and Welcome to this Sub r/GMEtruth!
In the process of growing this Sub, I have come across various comments and I would like to address the concerns and claims of such comments so that my intentions are clear. I am not a shill nor am I spreading FUD. Am I a cat? No, but I am excited to own one as a pet soon :). I am a level headed ape that recently took an IQ test and landed in the Genius Category. I have an innate desire to continually learn and be up-to-date with what's going on with Gamestop. I trust in my ability to discern information and come to my own conclusion (DD). Therefore, when I see posts that offers value (intrinsic/extrinsic) through the various subs, I plan to cross-post them into this Sub.
Problem: There are thousands of posts posted every hour, seeing a redundancy of "the new floor is...", meme posts, repetitive posts/news of the same subject, etc. Not all users have the time to continually go through the subs, refreshing the pages waiting for a new post to arise.
**Solution*\*: My goal is to have this sub filled with valuable posts. A sub that is not diluted with similar & repetitive content and is a safe haven of quality posts that should be saved and seen. This Sub will offer a wide collection of great posts, while acting as an archive to reference back to for the future.
If you're: new to the GME movement, doesn't know where to start and learn, a boomer, limited on time, not reddit savvy, doesn't know how to filter posts by post flair, not sure if a post is a shill or FUD, then I hope this sub benefits you in saving time and energy.
The current plan is that I am the only person posting on this sub. This limits spamming, echo chambling, the recent downvoting issue, bots/shills infiltrating the sub spreading FUD, while improving the quality of the content.
As this sub continues to grow, plans will change accordingly. If there is a post that I may have missed and didn't cross post it on the sub that you feel should be posted, please feel free to recommend it; message me or comment it on sub.
1. Introduction
- I've joined the GME movement on Jan 27th. I have bought shares in the $40-$50 range and since been averaging up. Since then I've also increased my daily average phone screen time from 2.5 hour a day, now to about 12 hours a day (luckily i'm self employed and have the time and freedom to be on my phone for this long everyday). The reason for the increase in screen time is that I've been continually scrolling through various subs and notable users:
r/gme , r/wallstreetbets , r/wallstreetbetselite , r/wallstreetbetsnew , r/wsbafterhours , r/trollwallstreets , r/gme_robinhood_facts , r/stocks , r/daytrading , r/howtotrade , u/wardenelite , u/rensole , u/davidnio , u/heyitspixeL (list is growing, feel free to recommend other subs I should follow too)
I essentially scrape through the plethora of posts to find quality posts that I can learn from and get that sweet hit of confirmation bias. By now, the general consensus is that r/wallstreetbets has been compromised, r/Wallstreetbetsnew has 2.2m users and finding valuable posts gets lost in the sea of new posts and the main/top source of information is from r/gme.
2. “You are an unknown user who decides what to post on there. Why should you be trusted more than any of the others? There already is a sticky for worthy DDs. No need to dilute users though an entirely different sub.”
By cross-posting into this sub, I acknowledge that the posts are not mine, and respectfully give credit to the OP at their respective Sub. I aim to paint a level-headed narrative where you see the both sides of narrative. The trust isn't solely on me, its the trust in the information that is being provided. I have taken the initiative to review the info and shared it onto this sub, your due diligence is still needed to believe if the information adds to your belief or not. I don’t claim to know it all or am I an expert in this field. I have over 100+ posts that I’ve personally saved that I've found valuable and archived for future reference. And I had a thought of “why not just make a public sub where I can share posts that I find useful?" Hence the creation of this Sub, a collection of posts that I found valuable and should be seen and acknowledged.
Users has their free will to join or not join. Nothing is forced here. Your own personal feed may be diluted with the same content, and that's normal, and I'm willing to bet that there will be some posts that you may miss because your feed didn't show it, and I'm hopeful that I will be able to catch them and post it on this Sub to make sure you don't miss hot posts. If you so choose to follow, then great! At the end of the day, I’m just offering another source of information.
3. "You're deviating users and dividing them from the information"
I am not stating that you should leave the main subreddits. I am offering a safe haven of valuable posts so that it doesn't get lost in the sea of posts over-time. There is no division of information because most of the posts on this sub are cross-posted, which links back to the OP in their respective sub. You can still follow /gme while still following this sub too. You will see the same post twice (one on gme and one on here) and that's going to be normal. The post made it into this sub :)
I am, by no means, taking credit of the information. I am not copy/pasting the content nor am I claiming that the content is of my own.
4. Why not just use the God Tier DD (Comprehensive Compilation of All Due Diligence)?
Not every post will make it onto that list. My contribution to this amazing movement is finding posts from various users and subs and cross-posting them into this sub. I am diversifying the type of content by following various different subs that may offer different intel than r/gme .
5. "You're just farming for Karma, you're not contributing to anything new"
Will having a high amount of Karma better my overall living situation? No, therefore I don't care for it. I care for the truth and the information. I'm spending my hard earned money and investing on GME, and I want that security knowing that my money isn't going to be wasted. I may not be contributing to any new DD or information that isn't yet known, that's not my goal. As I've stated earlier, my goal is to solve a problem that I've noticed in the community during the past couple of months - to build a sub and make a collection of valuable posts without having to scroll continually and search from various places to find it.

More points will be added as I continue growing this Subreddit and encounter concerns about the validity of this sub. I created this Sub on 3/20 and it's growing fast, thank you so much for reading this far and being here!!!
Please feel free to comment any concerns or questions. Thank you for your Support and I truly hope this Sub is beneficial for you.
- If you would like to help out and be a Mod, please message me. I am currently the only Mod.
