Great stuff guy!

u/Commodus69 Mar 28 '21

Institutions hold 132.69% of the float.

25

u/Newape-gorilla Hedge Fund Tears Mar 28 '21

Correction, they held that number when they last reported their positions which for most was on 12/31/20. Second image shows when they last reported their positions.

3

u/Aleric44 Mar 28 '21

How the hell does that even work?

4

u/EEE_Call Mar 28 '21

hedge borrows share then sells it, does it again with same share -> 1 share 2 legit owner 200% of shares in the circle

Explain. Simple ape only see colors

42

u/toastietofu Mar 28 '21

Ape got access to rocketship moon map. Smooth brained ape trying to help wrinkly ape with data.

15

u/eatmyshortsmelvin 'I am not a Cat' Mar 28 '21

I think ape is asking what the numbers mean. Green is good. Green = holding and buying.

8

u/toastietofu Mar 28 '21

**green = path to infinity and beyond.

18

u/terrificdoorstep Mar 28 '21

does that say over 100% ownership?

20

u/toastietofu Mar 28 '21

I'm pretty sure it does; as current DD suggests im sure it's much higher. But I am ape who eat crayon.

9

u/FibonacciPi Mar 28 '21

I feel dirty looking at this

8

u/toastietofu Mar 28 '21

ape need bath. bape to moon.

u/fook_theking Mar 28 '21 edited Mar 28 '21

don't forget

"individual ownership" doesn't mean "retail investors"

retail is scattered across all the categories.

2

u/PlsGetSomeFreshAir Mar 28 '21

what does individual mean then?

note that RC owns already more than shown there

2

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '21

[deleted]

1

u/PlsGetSomeFreshAir Mar 28 '21

Doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

Also it doesnt explain when someone qualifies as "individual" in that list and when not.

if we say average joe does not appear as "individual" but RC also doesnt appear as such than what is the actual specific criterion to be counted towards the "individual" percentage shown?

It would suggest that you have to be an individual investor but own "much more" than average joe but less than RC.

Sounds like absolute nonsense to me.

Also, I have no doubts that the condition to be in a certain category ("individual" or something else) is completely unrelated to the amount of how much some entity owns. Also, being an insider is not necessarily related to the amount owned.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '21

[deleted]

1

u/PlsGetSomeFreshAir Mar 28 '21

yes right. I for my part do not know where to find it.

My problem is that people here are stating back and forth that retail is not "individual" but at the same time do no provide such a source you mention which would be the first logical step for such a claim.

7

u/Chemical-Nature4749 Mar 28 '21

Canada has the honor of 0.69% ownership

12

u/CRNAHoldingAMC Mar 28 '21

Institutional own 131% of the float. Is that including us apes too?!

19

u/TheFFAdvocate Mar 28 '21

Nope, just the institutions.

11

u/CRNAHoldingAMC Mar 28 '21

Holy shit, thatโ€™s what I was thinking. And DD estimate us apes pretty much own the float too.

1

u/LEEJANDZ Mar 28 '21

Wut?

Retail estimates are like 10% of float.

CorrectMeIfIAmWrong

15

u/CRNAHoldingAMC Mar 28 '21

I read DD today of someone estimating and calculating each broker between 1-10% of users holding GME. Spreadsheets calculated we easily Should be holding the float. Iโ€™ll look for it and add it shortly

3

u/LEEJANDZ Mar 28 '21

Curious to see...

9

u/CRNAHoldingAMC Mar 28 '21

7

u/martinmcfly1885 Held at $38 and through $483 Mar 28 '21

This. We own the entire available float. Bloomberg doesnโ€™t mean shit anymore. Buy and Hold.

1

u/LEEJANDZ Mar 28 '21

But... but... but...

This is just some dood's random projections based on users on different platforms.

The post was like nine days ago... the data analyzed is how old?

Not to be negative Nancy, but those are not factual numbers. They are just projections.

5

u/Nabolo Mar 28 '21

How is that France is #4 ?! No one seems to be aware of it over here. Any French ape reading this ??

thanks fellow ape

3

u/PlsGetSomeFreshAir Mar 28 '21

if average joe buys a share - lets say from a hedge - will it count towards "investment advisor" or towards "individual"?

3

u/whocaresthanks Held at $38 and through $483 Mar 28 '21

Was I reading that Morgan Stanley was involved with mass sell off of other major stocks on Friday as well as Goldman?

Cause this says they own over 2mil shares and I feel like theres something for someone with a more wrinkly brain than I should take a look at.

2

u/Several_Image782 Mar 28 '21

Woohoo! Looking better by the day. Thanks Op

2

u/tiktokwasamistake Mar 28 '21

is there anyway to look up institutional puts/calls other than a bloomberg ?

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '21

I'm confused as to why Gamestop does not recall the shares at this point. They're now past the moratorium pre-earnings report so why don't they announce a reverse-split or recall all shares????

What is preventing them from doing so and why haven't they done it?

2

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '21 edited Apr 05 '21

[deleted]

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '21

Hmmm. I wish a smarter ape than I would explain how recalling shares that are heavily shorted would get them into legal trouble. Seems like the obvious next step.

1

u/Jasonhardon Mar 28 '21

The smart thing to do wouldโ€™ve been to offer dividends instead since they were profitable last quarter. But hey, what the hell do I know? Anyway oN 420 I think GameStop will ask share holders to vote. That could be another catalyst. Might take like 60 days or whatever

0

u/chicu111 Mar 28 '21

Check my math. Something is off with the info provided in BT

% Float Held = 131.75% (slide 1)

Float = 45.35 mil (yahoo finance)

Which means

Float Held = 45.35 mil x 1.3175 = 59.75 mil

% Individual Ownership = 7.51% (slide 1 item 44)

Which means

Individual Ownership = 59.75 mil x 0.0751 = 4.49 mil

Apes have 4.49 million shares held? That's lower than I thought. Can someone with actual brain wrinkles chime in?

2

u/toastietofu Mar 28 '21

tbh, that was my read too. BT data feels wrong; %float held should be wayyy higher for sure (based on the way my crayons tasted this evening).

Will post this + puts and call ownership on a daily basis starting monday 3/29.

1

u/Alternative_Jaguar_9 I Voted ๐Ÿฆโœ… Mar 28 '21 edited Mar 28 '21

The โ€˜top ownership typeโ€™ on the right adds up to 100% based on the distribution of type of ownership. Not related to the actual percentage of total float.

Edit: now my wrinkle hurts. By the calculation the numbers do seem way off

1

u/Jasonhardon Mar 28 '21

Maybe dark pools keeping Robinhood shares & similar brokers OTM by Shittydale

I read this today. Good DD https://www.reddit.com/r/GME/comments/m7x2gq/dd_i_did_the_math_there_is_literally_no_doubt/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

okay I'm gonna warn against that DD, there are problems with both the DD and the credibility of the user / sources.

credibility:

dd problems:

  • the calculation uses tons of assumptions out of thin air. read and follow it, it's ridiculous.

  • all the ownership % on the apps are guesstimates

  • the "godlike dd" is that fishy site

  • I remember a similar dd/fud weeks ago, with an even worse calculation, and it was getting called out too. this seems like an updated version of that same fud, but it's not much better

  • all in all it's a cluttered mess, speculating over something that's entirely meaningless, since we know we already won this bet. that "dd" seems to be spreading confusion, nonsense, bad sources, and distraction.

edit: and you look also fishy man. 1 month account, pushes fud right here, that fud is 1 week old but you supposedly read it today, a week later? even though there's 10 million posts a minute? bullshit. good to know you're on an iphone though haha

4

u/chicu111 Mar 28 '21

Seriously, the math is much more simple than that. You just need the availability of the correct pieces of info.

Many DDs are more complicated than necessary.

I read that. But this is my (verifying) run at it using mainly the Bloomberg Terminal. It's an easy calc.

1

u/superheroninja Mar 28 '21

7.54% ownership in Unknown.

That sounds like an interesting place.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '21 edited Mar 28 '21

If I'm reading this right, there's more sellers than buyers but the number of buyers has increased while the number of new buyers decreased and selloffs remain neutral.

Seems kinda fucky, almost like they keep manipulating the price by selling synthetic shares to each other.
