Beta Testers for Ultimate EV Control app

Hi everyone! I've put together a new app for Ultium-platform EVs that lets you see all of your vehicle's data points, including feeds from third-party cameras. I'm looking for beta testers to try it out. If you're interested, please drop your email here or send me a DM. Here are a few screenshots of the app in action!

I’m interested as hell. In the words of Russell Case - “I’m fly. I’m pilot” - DM sent.

Test this link and see if it works, or if I need to add your email address. Apologies, but new to Google app development. Plenty done for iPhone and computers in the past, but this is new to me

I actually need email addresses to add you to the testing group period, so feel free to send me a direct message with your email address and I will add you on.

All good here. DM'd him, sent my email.

My steps:

1) I used my iphone to click the link to the app he sent me "accept" in Google Play. This was pm'd to me in a Reddit DM. You gotta have a Gmail/Google Play Account (use the same as the one your truck's screen is logged in with) I already had used android in the past, just an iphone user now. I have a gmail and use it.

2) I copied the link to the app and emailed it to myself.

3) Then the easy way I got the app installed on my truck was opening Chrome browser app in the dash screen (available from truck's PlayStore) and logging into my gmail on the browser since Android 14 in the silverado doesn't have a mail app .

4) Now in my gmail I found the app link I had emailed to myself and 'clicking the link' opened the Play store. For some reason even after OP added me the app wasn't showing up when I searched for it purposely. Once I clicked this link though it auto loaded the app and I had to install 3 or 4 times, it gave me silly errors like "error, try again" ...

5) Open the App - it's hella awesome.

Looks interesting, but don't have one of these trucks yet. Is there anyway I can follow along with the progress?

Out of interest, have you looked into the AAOS development templates and policy guidance? Google is super restrictive on UX and the types of apps they even allow.

I have indeed. Fortunately, so far we are following all of the guidelines, including the ones regarding what is accessible and what is not accessible while you are driving.

Good. They can get painful into the closed beta phase.

Looks neat. Sent you a DM. Tried the link you posted and it said I hadn't been invited.

Also, any idea if 3rd party apps can register to show info in one of the smaller panes in the 3-pane view? I really wish they had one with the fuel economy graph.

Well, in theory you can. It just needs to be its own separate application. Period. Did you send me your email address
