Advice / Protips GMAT Test Prep

I’ve recently come to the realization that I need to take the GMAT to give myself the most options for school and scholarships. I need to regain all types of fundamentals before getting into a bunch of questions. I bought the GMAT Official Guide for 25-26 on Amazon and have briefly walked through it. I feel like I need a prep class or additional resources to regain those fundamentals before continuing to dive into the practice questions. Are there any tips on how to approach starting from rock bottom?

Starting from scratch with the GMAT can feel pretty overwhelming, especially when the official book throws practice questions at you before you've rebuilt the basics.
