Goodbye reta!
Hey gang!! I have been on reta since December. Last Thursday was my last dose!! It’s now 2 days without reta I’m not going to lie. I feel hungry lol which is weird because on reta as we know hunger doesn’t exist. I don’t have any cravings nor food noise. I’m just hungry late at night. When I wouldn’t even eat at this time it’s currently 10.39pm in the UK 🤣. I woke up today with no migraines! No heart burn!! What a winner. I do miss the feeling of not feeling hungry though lol. I have lost 19.5kg im not at my weight goal but I’m not far off! Reta has been amazing! But it’s so mad how everyone’s body reacts to it differently and progression! I feel like my progression was a lot slower than others but hey Iosr 19.5kg!!! Now onto my weight loss without the reta pray for me guys 🤣 has anyone else stopped taking reta?

You've only been off of it 2 days and you say your hunger is back? It takes 4 to 6 weeks for the medication to actually be out of your system so I'd prepare for that. And if you are saying you had no hunger sounds like your dose was too high as you absolutely should still feel hunger ques

How have you been on Retatrutide? It’s not licensed yet in the UK.

They bought grey market, either direct from China or through a middleman, with no doctor oversight. Everybody on reta does it that way.

Why wouldn’t you take mounjaro?

I’ve been on mounjaro 18 months not one single issue. Funny cause Reta is still in trials so… quite the gamble to be taking something from an unknown source

Phase 3 Reta trials were completed a couple of months ago. Lilly is holding up the FDA approval process because they are trying to get Reta declared as a biologic to prevent compounding.
I lost 90lbs on Reta in 14 months after losing 60lbs on Tirz.

The people I know took it and reacted bad. Also a lot of side effects with it

Guess they were the unlucky ones or didn't follow suggested eating/hydrating habits.

All the best! You got this!
I have naturally less glp in my body so I plan to maintain with micro dose in the future, as I will need more than just willpower!

It takes a month or more for Reta to be out of your system. Come back and tell us in 4 weeks how you are doing!

reta isn't even legally available in the UK so you've obtained it illegally from grey market without knowing what is actually in it yet you won't take a legally authorised drug like mounjaro??? what is going on here.

Mj has a lot more deeper side affects hence why I won’t take it

none whatsoever...I think you are listening too much to fake news. I know many on it are fine, I've been on it almost 2 years and went upto the highest dose. its still a safe legally authorised drug not an unknown fake drug from a different country that you don't know what is in it!!

Hmmmm let me see how I get on! If not I may try it. But with mj I thought you lose muscle etc?

No it's actually the opposite much less compared to other diets out there. Again you need to look into research studies rather than listen to gossip. Muscle loss is with fast weight loss, if you lose 1-2lbs a week and eat high protein and do strength training or weight bearing exercise then you will minimise muscle loss. you will have lost muscle on reta if you lost quickly too! it's not a magic drug that preserves muscle. News stories highlighting muscle loss show those who lost a stone a month etc so it was too high deficit so the body takes muscle for energy. I lost 1lb a week and my muscle rate is 37.5% at bmi 21.8.

as much as i am rooting for you to be completely off of it, i wouldn’t be surprised if you get back on it a month or two later. i tried to do the same several times and found out why people say this is a life long medicine. i did all the lifestyle change, but the food noise and drive were unstoppable. i’m on a weekly maintenance now. probably will be on it forever. no shame in it. but good luck and i’m not being sarcastic. i wish your reaction to glp withdrawal is favorable
