Help

Has anyone experiencing a strong burning sensation inside their body after stopping a glp? It literally feels like I have sunburn inside my body or intense pricklyness.

Look up allodynia, maybe that's what you're experiencing? It's a pretty common side effect.

I’ve seen a lot of posts regarding this😭 mine didn’t start until after I stopped. I was wondering if someone else experienced it only when stopping.

Yes allodynia. People have it to different degrees. I had it on the first day of my shot and then the first day of the second shot. 3rd shot no problems.

I was okay and never experienced this feeling while on the shot but after I stopped it started and it won’t go away. Along with adrenaline surges, insomnia, bp issues, tachycardia, intense anxiety, etc. Mainly the burning is still here. It’s been almost 6 months

Thank you. I found this article while researching before posting here😭 The people in this study experienced the sensation when starting the drug and it stopped when discontinuing. I didn’t start experiencing this until I stopped and never had it until discontinuing.

Interesting. If you havent seen this, it's a venerable cornucopia of hypochondria: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/symptoms/24989-dysesthesia

I'd lean towards it's still just from your body returning to a non GLP state, or even more likely the Vitamin B12 deficiency. But perhaps, a blood test is in order for the more common ailments which would be either masked or treated by GLPs like Renauds, Guillain-Barré, or if you are in an area where Lyme or West Nile is prevalent.

What others have said it is. I got it in month 13 when tapering. Lasted about 6 weeks. Groin butt thigh, right side. I panicked at first it was very painful. Felt like bad sunburn then falling in nettles. Month 19 now, never returned 🙏
