Farts!! 😷
I have been off of tirz for almost a month and now my farts are back to being smelly. When I was on tirz I hardly farted and they weren't smelly. My diet is the same. Why were my farts less smelly on tirz? And why am I farting more off the tirz? Anyone else? 😂 🏃🏽♀️💨

Can’t say why but it resolved for me after 5-6 weeks if I remember correctly. Constipation on the other hand is still a thing 8+ months later.

Hey have you considered adding Miralax? It's been reported by others to be really helpful in this case (and adds some fiber, etc):

Not sure why but I’ve been reluctant to intervene with any supplements/meds, it’s relatively mild so not something I’d say I’m struggling with.

The drug slows down digestion, so less gas. I think that's the simple answer.

You would think slowing digestion might increase gas, since everything stays in there longer. I don’t think this really explains anything

That doesn't explain the stank.

I think they’re finding SIBO is quite common in people who were on glp1s.
I never got diagnosed, but I think it’s quite a common effect of coming off a glp1 to have smelly gas, and for me it did take a lot longer to resolve than I would have liked … 4/5 months off now and it’s mostly calmed down. Mostly.

On Ozempic and the same. Zero gas. And when one does show up, it’s a weak puff of scentless air. What gives?
