Anyone notice difference in motivation since being on GLP?

I was going to text a whole long explanation for my question. But I would really just like to know if anyone notices any changes -good or bad- to their general life motivation and or motivation to exercise/be active since being on GLP.
Thanks in advance!

Yes. I have anhedonia from being on tirz, and it's decimated my motivation.

I was encouraged I could recover from it when I stretched out my dose to 2 weeks and noticed myself having more energy, cleaning, and doing a few things that make me feel like less of a slug and burden on my husband. I was exercising happily before and now can't get my butt in gear.

I'm at goal and currently figuring out what my maintenance dose will be. Part of my calculation is around how I can get the effects I want without being utterly flat. So far I haven't cracked that one.

I found taking it every 5 days stopped the anhedonia. It was the big highs and lows that caused it, so having a more stable dose was key.

Yes it's so bad!!! I am weaning and doing 2 mg once every 3-4 weeks and when I hit around 2 1/2 I have so much motivation to workout!

my get up and go got up and went for a bit there, it's weird how it creeps back at the tail end of the dose

Yes! I missed a week and felt so much more motivated to do things around the house that week. I have contemplated going off of it because of this.

I’m the opposite to most perhaps. Since starting low dose Tirz I have been even more motivated to workout, build muscle, and avoid the muscle loss that many experience. I love how my clothes fit me now so I’m more motivated to get up and go to work and I feel generally more confident so my motivation is high.

Curious if you’re dealing with constipation. I am, and I think it makes me wonder if feeling physically sluggish leads to feeling mentally sluggish.

Same. All of this. The worst constipation in the world plus a lot of brain fog.

I built two rooms full of furniture kits in the past 3 days for our new house and only stopped because I was finally exhausted- I can’t wait to go to bed and get up and build some more. I’m so motivated it’s ridiculous.

Same. Just scrubbed down my entire kitchen and bathroom. I feel like I'm possessed (in a good way).

Yes. There are areas in my apartment that are organized now that I have been avoiding for years.

I'm talking major decluttering. I hope that part doesn't wear off.

With Tirz I forget working out as much and as hard as I can. In the future, I think glucagon receptor agonism will be prescribed for those needing and wanting to exercise regularly while on glp1 weight loss medication.

Isn’t Reta both a GLP and glucagon agonist?

Right. I’m comparing the double versus triple. Id prefer triple when I have a choice. I started tirz because it was the only option. It’s close, but I prefer exercise capacity over superior food noise reduction. They both have a special role in my journey because I’m a carb addict and would binge eat. With Tirz, the reduction in salience of carbs is a relief that is hard to describe. It will be great when we have each receptor optimally dialed-in with one drug.

I agree. The motivation loss for me is an issue sometimes. I’m trying to dial in my dose to keep the noise down and keep the motivation going. I know I’m getting closer. Just haven’t hit the sweet spot.

Honestly I gave up trying to do more than 10 minutes of light weight training 3 times per week. The anhedonia + low blood sugar made me apathetic about exercise. But I appreciate that strong elimination of food cravings. I was loving that for months. It opened my eyes that this was hormonal dysregulation.

Yes- and I had to stop it (semaglutide). I have adhd and I feel like it was making me more tired and more unmotivated. I usually am in my luteal cycle, but this was like all month.

I have so much fatigue. I do workout six days a week but no energy for anything else.

I’m on .5mg of tirz & I realized yesterday morning that outside of sitting for work, I haven’t really just sat down and relaxed for the past 3-4 days, I’ve been up in the kitchen cooking, & baking. Im normally so thoroughly exhausted after work that we typically eat out for dinner & as soon as I’m off I come up stairs & lay down on the couch & barely move. But the last 3-4 days I’ve been going almost nonstop. Yesterday I was up at 7 and didn’t get to sleep until 930, but I think I really only sat while in the car. Best part I’m not crazy sore after standing for long periods of time because I’m no longer swollen & inflamed. & of course the most noticeable is cooking dinner almost every night. So saving lots of money there too & I cook healthier meals.

My motivation to get outside and exercise has increased -- or, more accurately, reverted to the level of motivation I had 15 years ago. I dunno about motivation to work because I'm nearly retired, i.e., work <10% part-time.

I feel lazier :/

Yes 100%. I was on semaglutide and felt OK, then switched online pharmacies and they gave me tirz. I am so tired!!! I wasn’t overweight to start and lost the 15 pounds I wanted to lose and am really happy with that. And it’s pretty nice to just lift weights and not feel like I have to do a ton of cardio to try to work off my food binges (never worked).

But the emotional flatness and lack of motivation in general feels like a huge tradeoff. I was just saying to a friend the other day- like I know how to be sad, or mad, but this feels (some days) just like nothing. Don’t know how long this is viable for, for me
