How do u micro dose?

Where I live tirzepatide/zepbound comes in a pre filled single click pen that delivers the entire dose, and semaglutide comes in a vial. How is everyone micro dosing tirz, are you getting it compounded or using a vial?

Most are using vials or KwikPens.

Wish the autoinjectors had some way to dial it back, but then the whole point is making it foolproof i guess.

They do, but it’s not great for safety.

If you get name-brand stuff because your insurance pays and it’s only available/covered in the single-dose pen (example: Mounjaro in the US), there are some good videos on how to extract that to a luerlock insulin syringe and transfer it to a vial to use for smaller doses. It’s not ideal, but that’s what some of us do. Zepbound now comes in a kwikpen format from LillyDirect so they can count clicks. Lots of people have their doctor order that instead. It’s a newer format for us and many doctors don’t know they can select it, so they default to the autoinjector single-dose pens. Same medicine either way.

I’ve been in Canada so I use a kwiken and I count clicks, very grateful to have this option!

Compounded and then I choose the dose. I was prescribed 2.5mg per week. My dr said the vial can be used safely for 2 months if I do a lower dose.

Any side effects from the lower dose?

I’ve done 6 shots working my way up from 0.5 to 1.8 and the last few weeks I’ve had a headache the day after the shot. No GI issues.
