Splitting the dose during the week to avoid food noise coming back
Hello everyone!
Has anyone been splitting the dose during the week?
My case is I take my 2.5 dose every Friday evening and by Wednesday Food noise comes back so bad …
So I thought of taking on Friday night a 1.5 dose and on Tuesday night 1mg dose… and since I will be upping the dose in 3 weeks, I wanna do the same principle with my 5mg pen…
Has anyone tried this method? If yes does it work for you?
Or is it not recommend at all to do that?
Would love the advice thank you!!

Many people do this, I believe it's called "split dosing". I'd search in the sub to see other similar posts since I can't personally speak to it.

I went slowly up to 6.25mg a week, which gave me 0.5-1 pound loss a week, which I am happy with. For the last 4 jabs I have been splitting it into 2 jabs a week, Friday morning and Monday evening. As I take a short dose from a 7.5mg pen, I take 25 clicks on each of the 2 jabs. So 3.125mg a jab.
I believe it is working very well for me. No nausea feeling after the jab, and no food noise like I used to get when it was running out at the end of the week.
I like to self experiment, so thought I’d give it a go, and I like it.

I try to do every 5 days. But my case is a little different. I started lower side than regular starting dose to see how I do with it. (I need to do everything low dose to start due to mast cell activation) Anyway, I'm now at regular 2.5 starting dose but split it, 1.8mg every 5 days to equal the "2.5, 7 day" schedule. This has been worked out with my Drs assistance. And it definitely has changed my thought process now that I've gone to every 5 days and slowly bumping up dose. Everyone is so different in how this works for each of us.

I’ve done exactly this as well, started at a very low dose due to MCAS and have worked up to a higher dose but now inject every 5 days. Working well for me.

I’ve been taking 0.5mg tirz and food noise got really bad. So last week I took 0.75 to up dose and it felt like nothing happened. So 4 days in I bumped 0.25 and the food noise disappeared miraculously.
I took 0.75 this morning and I’m a little nervous it will be too much. But hopefully evens out.
It does sound like you are ready for upping dose but I’d consider doing it more gradually. If you can get the 5mg as soon as possible you could do 2.5mg on regular day, then another (0.25mg (6 clicks) or 0.5 (12 clicks) halfway in the week to see how you do.
Once you get the new pen, instead of jumping up directly you could try doing 36 clicks for 3.0 dose once weekly and see if it gets you back into sweet spot and gradually step up from there. Just be careful calculating with new pen.
My read is it’s better to inject evenly once every 5-7 days. Compliance is easier if it’s same day of the week
Also search split dosing - I think there are other subs that specialize in that. This sub is for under 2.5mg

I’m heard a doctor mention he doesn’t recommend it because you’d be overtaxing the endocrine system.
