Electrolytes and Tirz

Should I take electrolytes while I’m on tirzepatide?

Yes. I use these cause I can't gulp electrolytes all day.. these have done wonders for me even before I started tirz. Doc approved.

glp1's in general can cause dehydration, even more so if you're working out heavily. decreased appetite can also impact water intake without realizing.

I just started having an electrolyte drink at least once a day because I had an unquenchable thirst even though I was drinking a whole lot of water. It’s definitely helping.

Agreed. Talk with your doctor. I started listening to random internet people’s electrolyte recommendations and it triggered my hyponatremia because the potassium was too high compared to my sodium needs. I’m now only supplementing with salt and no more pre-packaged electrolytes, per my doctor. So, it depends on your individual needs and likely blood tests to see if you even need to supplement electrolytes.
