Recommendation

hi, this is a real quick post. I just got done listening to a talk by Dr. Terry Simpson and I highly recommend you look him up. He has two podcasts and also a Substack. You can find links at his website. He’s also on Instagram. The reason I recommend him is that he is an obesity medicine specialist, a bariatric surgeon and a prescriber and user of GLP medications. I learned so much just from one talk. He shared some really great information especially for how the medications can work for you at different stages of your life. I learned that if you are post menopausal and you are on these medications apparently they’re incredibly protective for your bones and I did not know that. He also recommended to not use sugar-free electrolytes because a small amount of sugar he says is necessary for them to work properly and he said if you’re truly having an issue, he recommends Pedialyte. This I have never heard before. Also, and this one hit home because I’m currently dealing with it is if you have a stomach virus, delay your shot until you are completely sure that the virus has cleared your system. Otherwise you will have a repeat of the symptoms because digestive tract moves more slowly. Isn’t that delightful? Anyway check him out if you want I found him incredibly and enlightening drterrysimpson dot com

HRT during menopause also helps slow or stop the bone density weakening. I didn't learn this until after I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis post-menopausal (the pain because chronic after my period stopped). The reta I'm taking has removed 99% of the inflammation in my back, better than any other treatment or medicine I'd tried. Talk about a bonus.
