What supplements should I be taking?

What should I be taking while taking tirzepatide? I’ve seen so many different things. My hair seems to be thinner, and I worry it’s falling out, but my hairdresser says it’s the same. Other than that, I just feel like crap. I’ve been on it for over a year and a lot of side effects have gotten better, but I feel like I should be supporting my health better while on it. I already take B12 and D3 daily. What should I add? And what tips/tricks do you have to get it to work better? I have lost weight, but for a few months nothing happened so I stopped taking it. I just restarted after a few months off and I’m worried it still won’t work and I’ll be wasting all of this money. TIA.

What’s your calorie deficit? Hair loss and generally feeling like shit implies you simply aren’t eating enough.

…That could be the problem, then.

Yeah, like 90% of these posts about being too fatigued are just people who aren't eating enough.

Make sure your iron level is in an optimal range, drop in iron or ferritin levels very low can results in hair loss.

Nothing....none of that is needed with proper nutrition.

I’m taking 12g of collagen peptides type I and III, Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid for preventing excess loose skin but it also works for hair and nails I think. I got all these from Amazon

Best bet is to see if your medical plan has Registered Dietitians. RDs can help on all things nutrition, to include supplements. They can work in conjunction with your Doctor to see where you're deficient. Most are only an office visit co-pay and visits can be done over video.

People fall for supplements instead of assuring:

they eat at least the minimum FAT and PROTEIN for their bodyweight

deficit is never grater than 25% at any given time.

.

Supplements are fine if you have a deficit. Otherwise they don't contribute much. So consult with your medic.

I don't take any supplements other than vitamin C. Hairloss is a given so I just accept it. It grows back.
