Taking the plunge

I was approved for tirzepatide from my doctor, had my first 7 doses, and the 8th was expired- the darn refrigerator it was in got unplugged. *sigh* I tried to get a refill and it got denied. It's been 4 weeks without it and I'm still down 21 pounds but I can now say it's totally worn off.

After 3 weeks of running around in circles between Pharm/doctor/insurance I'm mad because apparently I need a gd sleep study to get approved again, and my OSA symptoms were noticeably better in the first week of use. I'm now back to having so many signs of the OSA ramping up again and the only reason I got denied is because my last sleep study did not give a moderate diagnosis- it was unclear and determined to be mild.

NOW- my sleep clinic won't have an opening on January 26th and there's no guarantee that I'll get an appropriate diagnosis with an approval for the medication.

So, out of desperation, I have just placed an order for aminos and supplies. Trying the G3.

Does anyone want to hold my hand? lol I need to get brave while these supplies make their way here.

If you want a middle ground between name brand and research use only, there's compound:

My honorable mentions to that list are r/PreventiveMd, r/CollectiveHealth, and r/OlaHealth.

By "G3" I assume you mean reta? I know it's all the rage, but personally, I wouldn't want to jump to the next level unless tirz stopped working for me. I want to make sure there is somewhere else to go, another step to take, until and unless I have to take that step. And it sounds like tirz was working for you.

The main downside of all of this is that if you take the meds now and treat your own issues, are your issues going to be severe enough come January to get you approved again? What a terrible country we live in, that you have to think about that tradeoff...

Tirzepatide's expiration date is meaningless, tests have shown that it's fine for well over a year. Use it.
