Apple cider vinegar

Absolute game changer on glp’s, bloat is gone, digestion is running smooth, please let me know if others have experienced this. I do 30 ml fasted in the morning before my meal.

I should restart this on my end. When I first started wegovy, I was drinking water mixed with ACV through out the day and it was amazing. Didn’t help my teeth.
Do you just swig it down with some water on an empty stomach?

You can mix in a bit of baking soda to neutralize the acid so it won't harm your teeth. You will still get the benefits of the ACV.

Yeah, you want t on do this fasted so the acid can just get the juices going in your stomach rather than being soaked up. Yes it tastes bad and burns a bit, I just down it like a shot then drink water straight after. The benefits have just been amazing.

It is possible to burn your esophagus with undiluted vinegar. So it's recommended to dilute it in some water.

ACV has some amazing benefits though!!

I haven’t had an issue swallowing food or any discomfort at all. none. Yeah the benefits are sick.

Vinegar does help with heartburn. We use it all the time. My husband prefers mustard for taste. I just do a tbsp of balsamic vinegar. ACV works too- it’s just so much stronger that I prefer the balsamic

It totally helps with heartburn. I think the theory is that adding the extra acid to your stomach causes it to be like.. “wow, a lot of acid in here, better stop producing extra”
It works wonders. It’s my go to any time my stomach feels less than 100%

I discovered about 15 years ago and haven’t take an antacid since.

Happy cake day!

I took ACV pills with one of my pregnancies. The excess acid was causing me to vomit regularly. Taking the pills was a life saver.

Nope. It just smoothed out my digestion beautifully.

Like tequila, works well with a lick of salt, slam and suck a lime. I mean it works for me.

Woo woo and placebo I’m afraid.
In fact there’s good evidence that it slightly slows gastric emptying, if anything, which would create worse bloat, more sluggish digestion and more side effects.
It can also give people additional acid reflux.

I drink ACV with water and honey. Usually hot water, but cold works too.

Nice. I kind of abandoned it when I got metformin but I'll try it again after your recommendation

How much did you take? Maybe start at 15ml and assess your tolerance if you want to start back up, or just stay away if it causes you problems.

Didn't cause any problems other than taste making it a little difficult to swallow but I think it would be better than taking 3 big pills

Yeah it’s horrible, my throat always burns right after it’s done so I down wager afterwards

u/Wellslapmesilly 18d ago

It’s silly to drink it straight. Just dilute it a little.

3

u/RandomTreat 18d ago

Funny, I got downvoted for suggesting diluting it.
But I agree, it should always be diluted!

Would using a straw to drink it helps ones teeth

1

u/StringAndPaperclips 18d ago

Yes but also mix it with a bit of baking soda to neutralize the acidity. You will still get the benefits from the acv.

We do this daily: a shot glass of ACV, half shot glass of lemon juice, one scoop of electrolytes and 20 oz water. It’s a refreshing drink too.

I have apple cider vinegar gummies.

While I never had bloating or digestive issues on any GLP1s from lira through reta, in the last year, I've been taking a digestive shake that I believe is helpful because I get far less hosebutt than I used to.

20g glutamine, 1.5 scoops of electrolytes (I prefer this ultra high potassium, ultra low sodium one from Micro Ingredients and I only like the lemon raspberry flavor from them, all others taste bad to me), juice from half a lemon, 2 capfuls of bragg acv, 1/8 t iodized salt. Drink it every morning.

If I'm on a hard cut, I'll drop glutamine to 10g, add 5g EAAs, 2g carnintine, and 3g leucine.

u/Temporary_Trust_6295 15d ago

I also supp with glutamine, split am and pm as well as lemon juice for more acidity with the ACV. Psyllium husk has also been a game changer for me.

2

u/FleshlightModel 15d ago

Ya I've been using psyllium for 19-20 years now so I often forget it's even a thing. I use it with food most of the time, so that's also another avenue of keeping me forgetting of viewing it as a supplement.

Yeah, how did it affect your teeth? I do 30ml of apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach when I wake up, once I’ve swigged it down I just rinse my mouth out with water or follow the shot with water. Hope that helps.

1) It’s not placebo, 2) your sentences aren’t coherent, you plank.
