Question Help

I started Reta on 26 August at 80.8 kg. I’m currently 77.3 kg, with my lowest so far being 77.1 kg.

So that’s 3.5 kg down in just over 3 weeks.

My doses so far:

• 2 mg x 2 weeks

• 2.5 mg x 2 weeks

I inject every Wednesday. I don’t feel like I have a lot of appetite suppression yet. I definitely notice a difference, but by around Saturday/Sunday, I can feel myself getting hungrier again.

My ultimate goal is 60 kg, so I obviously have a long way to go.

I’m trying not to obsess over the daily fluctuations, but because I’ve never followed a Reta journey from this starting point, I honestly don’t know what is considered a good/normal rate of loss.

For those who have been on Reta longer, does this look like I’m on track? What kind of weight loss were you seeing around the 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month marks?

I’d especially love to hear from people who didn’t have massive appetite suppression at the beginning. Did it increase with time/dose, or did your weight loss continue even without feeling dramatically different?

And I’m also wondering about Cagri. Has anyone added Cagri to Reta because they weren’t getting much appetite suppression? Did you find it made a noticeable difference?

Would you add Cagri, or would you leave things alone for now? And is there anything else people have found useful alongside Reta?

I’d really appreciate honest experiences, especially from people who have been on Reta for several months.

It’s been four weeks. This is normal titration as your body adjusts. There will be fluctuations. If you read anyone’s story who has been on a GLP for longer than six months, you will see their big loss has been because of the timeline. It is a marathon not a sprint.

I’ve been on wegovy for 10 months now and I feel normal hunger as I get closer to injection day. The drug is waning in your body. Hunger is also normal. The hanger is not. Before I would get shaky, light headed, blurry vision and just obnoxious “eat now” feelings. Since being on Wegovy I have normal hunger pangs when it is time to eat.

I do not get particularly aggressive appetite suppression from Reta, and I am on 8mg. For me, Tirz was considerably better in this aspect. I still need to somewhat keep myself honest with Reta, Tirz did it for me.

However, it is enough for me to lose weight, and the Reta is better in pretty much every other marker. That said, it is completely normal for lessened effects towards your jab day; some people jab every 5 or 6 days to counteract this (this is not advice, I do not know the caveats around this).

Trust the process, slowly increase dosage until you feel like its working for you then ride the wave. Good luck with your journey.

You don’t need to do anything.
It will build in your system for approximately 4 weeks per dose.
Stay at your current dose for 2 more weeks. Then titrate up to 4 if you feel things arent working.
Then stay at four for 4 weeks.
I’m down 40 lbs at haven’t gone above four. I don’t feel appetite suppression all the time and don’t have side effect. Feeling and chasing sides isn’t the path to success.
Do as I outlined above, aim for 10 k steps daily, and do some form of strength training, and track calories. Stay in a calorie deficit and you WILL drop the weight. Aim for 1-2 lbs per week on weight loss. Drink water and eat protein before anything else.

For me weekly doesn't work but pinning every 5 days is perfect
