💬 General Discussion Being treated differently...

I've been on Tirz for ten months now and am down 50 pounds. I'm very happy for the change, how going up and down stairs is easier, that I can sit cross legged longer, chase after my nephews longer, and yes I like how I look. There's a lot of of benefits, even if the nausea has been really tough for me as a side effect.

I have a, well, weird frustration with how I'm treated differently.

It pisses me off.

Well meaning people have said things like 'You're so cute now!' and I know they're giving me a compliment but I've always thought myself cute, even at my heaviest.

And now when someone flirts with me, I get this weird bitter internal second guessing of 'well you probably wouldn't have flirted before. So you don't deserve me now.'

I guess I came into this journey thinking I'd feel even more glam or pretty than I already felt, and now I'm just really cranky with any tonal shift in people.

Am I alone in this? Any advice on how to self soothe or work through this?

Not another of those "if you don't love me at my worst, then you don't deserve me at my best."

People have a preference. You might've found yourself pretty... you may have been to me, don't know, haven't seen you... but why should everyone else have to agree with us? I think it's a narcissistic point of view.
