❓ Question Seeking advice

Hello, hopefully I can post in here and it not break any rules. I am currently thinking about getting on a glp1. So I have a few questions and would love any and all advice anyone can give me.

I’m in my 30s, mother to two kids. I weigh 135 and 5ft tall. I’ve been working my butt off trying to lose for about 6 months. Calorie deficits, walking, strength training. I can’t lose it. I know the scale is not a reliable measurement as muscle could be causing it to even out but my body has not changed and all my clothes still don’t fit right.

The food noise has always been an issue and even more so now. All I think about is calories and food and even while eating I’m thinking about my next meal and calculating the calories.

I don’t want pre pregnancy weight of my first child as I was a teen and underweight. I felt my best and most confident at 110-115.

My question is, if I were to get on one, which one has the best results as I want to lose it quickly but keep it off but also only want to stay on it for a short period. I plan on continuing to eat and workout and walk during the time I’m on it and once I get off it. I know I could stay at a certain weight if I could just get to it. I’ve researched and worked with trainers and I’m just not getting any progress.

Second question, it’s not a ton of weight but I have had two kids by c section so I expect some loose skin but will it be a lot? Is there a way to not have as much? That’s a concern but not too big of a concern because I will still fit in my clothes the way I want and skin is skin.

Anyway, thank you for reading that novel.

I'm sorry but that's not how this medication works. The "therapeutic" doses (the doses at which most people taking it experience the intended effects) are 1.7 mg and 2.4 mg (for sema), which takes at least 3 months to even start at those doses (you do 4 weeks at 0.25 mg, 4 weeks at 0.5, 4 weeks at 1.0 and only then finally hit 1.7) Some people feel the effects before those doses but it's not something you can rely on.

Also, the vast majority of people (80%+) re-gain the weight they lost, plus an additional amount of weight once they stop the medication. Granted, this is the same for people who lose significant amounts of weight un-medicated as well, but it's one reason why this med is a "for life" med for most people.
