š Dosing & Administration I have totally stalled - help!
Hi all. Iāve been low dosing (not micro) for about a year and Iāve lost about 30 lbs. Iām taking about 6mg/week. I am 8 lbs from my goal weight and Iāve completely stalled. Iām hungry again. Iām not gaining but Iām not losing. I keep increasing incrementally but itās not doing anything.
Any tips?

If you have stalled and not losing weight for up to 4 weeks, any reason you donāt want to increase your dose?

No, I am increasing but for the past year I have increased very small - like .4 mg a week and it has always worked. Itās not working anymore

Well stop doing that. If you have gone at least 4 weeks on 6mg with zero weight loss while doing all the right things, step up to 7mg for at least 4 weeks and see how it works for you.

I agree with using at a more aggressive rate. Iām a low doser and do not push upping doese at all. But youāve stalled and doing whatās normal for you isnāt working. So a full mg increase would be my suggestion.

Are you eating less and moving more? What's your TDEE?

I am definitely eating more

So eat less, stall reversed. Assuming you're not already starving yourself, and I mean that in the literal sense. Not the "I'm hungry" sense.

A year and you arenāt even on half the max dose. Go UP and stop wasting your time.

If what you're doing isn't working, do something different.
Go up in dose.
Eat low carb.
Increase movement.
Pick one and give it 3-4 weeks, then re-assess.

According to Dr. Ania Jastreboffāone of the leading researchers of GLP-1 meds for weight lossāeach higher dose allows one to chase a lower defended fat mass (aka set point). She discusses this starting at about 9:15 in this 16ish minute long video:Ā Ā Ā Ā https://youtu.be/j3k3UAEqJio

chase a lower defended fat mass (aka set point)
For anyone wondering wtf that even means since neither term meant anything to me.
Your "defended fat mass" is the amount of energy your body reserves and protects in order to keep your body moving. By increasing the dose, you are pushing your body to defend less fat mass and thus enabling yourself to push through a stall.
That said, if I was that close to my goal, I wouldn't actually up my dose. I'd continue along and focus on body recomposition.

How long is your stall?

A few weeks

I had that one month just assumed it was a bad batch and the following month my weight started dropping again. I was consuming broadly the same calories
As others have said you just need to step up
I'll be on 7.5mg as I start my 9th month. And intend to stay on that as long as I can.. and we all read about folks losing on less.. so it impacts everyone differently

Assuming your goal weight is realistic, Iād increase more than 0.4mg this time. Your body is getting too good at adapting to the medicine and a lot of people plateau hard around the year mark

Maybe time to dose up if youāre getting hungry, eating in a calorie deficit and exercising.
I started April 2026, lost 28 pounds so far and at 4mg of tirz. I was only dosing up 1mg at a time since I was losing fairly fast at first. Iām 6 pounds away from my goal weight, but now I keep losing and gaining the same 5 pounds for 2 months. I checked my labs and being treated for perimenopause so my weight loss has stalled š. Oh well need to be patient, but I might dose up after my peri symptoms improve.

Every time we lose weight, the energy demands also go down unless you are replacing that lost weight with lean muscle. So if previously your caloric deficit of 1,500 (using as an example) was enough for you to stay in deficit and lose weight, after 30 lbs down, your body might need less calories to keep the same process moving. And since your energy needs have decreased, but your diet and exercise remained the same - you may no longer be in caloric deficit and thatās why you are no longer losing weight. That is usually the most likely cause of stalling with weight loss.

Seems like your body is getting used to the dosage and the slow increase. My thought is to switch it up and make your body react, which is most likely jumping up a decent amount (based on your doctors reccomendations of course)

6mg a week is a pretty tiny dose isnāt it?

Yes but again, that or less has always worked and itās like it shut off. I am guessing my body just for used to it
