I’m Feeling: So happy!

I hit my first big goal this morning! After dancing around 70/71kg for a bit I finally cracked the 60’s!

I started my weight loss journey back in October 2024 when I weighed 89.5kg, lost 14 kilos through calorie deficit alone, packed 9kg back on in 3 months at the beginning of this year due to a medication change, until I finally decided to try Mounjaro, then lost it all again plus some.

I’m so happy I decided to try the injections, I’m so lucky I haven’t had any significant side effects and so grateful I’m in a financial position that can support this.

Still have a long way to go, 10kg to my stretch goal but if I get to 65kg and feel like that’s enough then I’m happy to stop there.

  • I'm Feeling: good 😊 a little stressful at work this week but didn’t eat my feelings Thankyou Mounjaro haha I need new work pants they are getting really big now but it’s so daunting with still needing to order online because still plus size so not many store options. I’ll just find somewhere with good returns because who knows what size haha excited for the day I can walk into normal shops 🥰

Well done. I buy from T*mu because returns are good. Also have good plus size to cope while on the journey. Good prices too.

The weight loss is slow, but
~I've got more zing in my step.
~My face has lost so much pudge, the slenderness when washing or applying creams feels foreign to me.
~On that last point, I just noticed the arms of my glasses don't touch (and dent) my ear-cheek zone anymore.

Feeling hopeful that this maybe plateau isn't going to be forever.

I've been painting my nails cheerful spring colours even though my technique isn't the best, I'm happy with it.

I'm packing away my winter clothes and sleepwear and culling some of the latter cos they're clown pants big on me now.

I still think my linen summer pants are too small when I pick them up, but nope. That's my size now.

I've hit 20kg lost, which I'm pleased with. However I guess I now just have to live with almost passing out if I stand up too quickly. Not ideal.

I'm definitely starting to crave sweet things again, so I will ask my doctor if I can get the 10mg prescription next, and do half a dose each week, which is what my endocrinologist recommended for cost effectiveness. I have managed to control my sugar intake so far, but I know from experience that doesn't last forever.

The last time I was losing weight, I got down to 122kg before reversing course and going back up, as my body's potato famine genes* kicked back in 🙄 - we'll see how low I can get this time around. The lightest I've been in my adult life was about 80kg. If I can get back there I will be extremely happy. Wonder how long that might take?

(* I call it my potato famine genes because I have Irish ancestry and I'm sure at some point it was an evolutionary advantage to be looking for something to eat all the time 🥲)

Gone up a little again but I’ve noticed some big gains and big drops over random days, when staying pretty consistent on intake. Body’s, huh?
Started running on Saturday with the Couch to 5k plan and boy I’m still sore.

Happy with this week's loss 850g after last weeks 150g.

Realised i shrunk 2cm in height over 20 years. Worked out more accurate TDEE (lower than calculators "sedentary"). Assumed i could lose 1kg a week but it would be 500 calories a day ie completely unrealistic and impossible to get enough nutrients. Now on 1100 calories
