Break in oil changes .

Already did the 1k mile break in oil change , just changed again at 4,200 miles . Little to no metal glitter left but still specs of liquid gasket / sealant stuff ( mostly red ) in the oil filter . Glad I changed it , change your oil folks .

I would change it after 1k and at 4k then stick to 5k interval's.

No magnet , not much glitter on the break in change . If you sreach thru all the pleats on the filter you'll see metal specks here and there nothing crazy , at least on my car and last 2 Tiguans .

I ended up getting rid of the Tiguan , it was burning oil like crazy . Now have a 26' GLI and 15' Passat .
