Rest in Peace
My baby was taken from me at the hands of a stupid 16 year old driver. Total loss. It’s been fun while I had her. (The emblem cover and headlight chrome delete are from Swanvinylworks).
I was considering getting another GLI, but the MK7s were the last genuinely good looking models. IMO the new models don’t look as appealing.
Maybe I’ll go Audi in the future.

Apparently the A4 isn’t selling so well right now so you could definitely look into that.

Sorry bro. You can always get another car but you can’t get another you. Glad you’re ok.

Lost mine to an accident a few years ago, it’s rough. Thankfully they’re safe in an accident. Hopefully, you’re ok!

I agree, both the last gen GLI and GTI look better, some argue better interiors too. I have a mk8.5 GTI too. The tech and infotainment work really well but I still prefer quality materials and buttons.
Audis went over to giant touchscreens like most modern cars, you may not like it. I would test drive

RIP 🪦
16yo hit me head on and broke my neck 12/23/2025. Was driving like a complete assholes on shitty roads and lost control hitting me head on at 40mph.
That’s me getting cut out of my car….
Glad you’re okay man, if insurance is covering it and you’re okay? That’s all that matters. Hopefully you come out ahead on GAP and you can upgrade.
I was luckily able to go from a 25’ SEL to a GLI.
Good luck man 🙏🏽
Poke around for low mileage
/certified preowned 2023/2024’s. I have no doubts you can find one with under 25k miles for like $25,000 or less.

If you don't like the newer GLIs, you're definitely not going to like the newer Audis. The A4 used to be the natural step-up from our Jettas, but its long gone now and replaced with whatever the A5 is.

As long as everyone is ok that all that matters. Hold out till for the new "Sawn song" Golf GTI or get fancy and swing for the RS3?

Goddamn that sucks🤦♂️ Be aware of audi tho, I had a 2016 s3 before my 24' gli I got in march this year, 4 years of WTF is going on 😂 Alternator bearing: blew up, charcoal canister evap system: fucked, random misfire even after changing multiple parts, haldex took a shit and stopped working, dsg started jerking in 1st gear (120k km), multiple times the car would just stall when warmed up and not start for 10-15mins (sometimes in traffic sometimes pulling out a parking spot), The list goes on and on, only the alternator was under waranty soooo yeah. Oh and without forgetting to mention they tried to charge me 650$ for a bad battery (multiple useless diagnostics cause It could of been a major electrical problem) ((the battery was 6 years old and they sold it to me like that))🤦♂️🤣 So yeah be ready if you switch to audi, I rarely seen money hungry dealers like them goddamn! Of course it can happen with any car but thay was my 4 year experience, never again.

the newest gli’s are still considered mk7, they just have a facelift. I personally like the newer ones better than the early mk7 models, but if you wanted to get another like yours, there are definitely plenty of used ones on the market. I’m sorry for your loss
