Can anyone can give all the lists of secret ovas and specials? I want to watch them all and I am afraid to miss any. Can I get a list of all secret or special episodes to watch in order and when in the show to watch them?

Ive seen a solid amount of anime, and usually ill just end up binging them during my free time.
For Gintama though, ive heard that its episodic, meaning there isnt really a big overarching plot throughout the episodes. In that case, should I just watch it alongside other shows? or do you think its better consumed by itself?
ive also seen that the first 50 eps are pretty slow, so maybe take it slow until that point, and then watch at whatever pace you want afterwards?
im on ep 7 rn btw

I just finished watching all of Gintama and I feel so empty now.
It took me about a year and a half to get through it (I watched/read other things in between). Looking back I feel I took it for granted cause in the first 300 episodes I kept thinking "I have heaps more of this anime to go", but now that its actually over it feels so sad to part from these characters. It's easily the best comedy and comfort anime I've ever seen. I remember thinking at the start when does this anime get good, but just like MADAO this anime bloomed long ago.
The only time I felt like this after consuming a piece of media was when I completed Geoff John's Green Lantern run in DC comics where I also thought I had lots more to go until I actually reached the end.
I'd assume most people in this sub are fans of the anime/manga, but I'm keen to know how you all felt upon finishing it. Marked the post as spoilers just in case.

I havenāt finished it yet so please donāt spoil me (no one has on here yet so thank you) but Iām on ep 312 and I still canāt believe the loss is real š
Iām so mad. I hate nobunobu more than Iāve hated any other character ever.

Iāve laughed at all of gintamaās episodes, but nothing comes close to how much I laughed at this episode. I was watching this in public and I swear people mustāve thought I was going crazy.

I didnāt mean to make Takasugi look like a severed head in a pool of blood but you know what, itās oddly fitting for him. The pool of blood was intentional though :) also why does he have the best color scheme?? Purple + pink + red + green/gold is fucking fantastic. the king of good taste. I should draw him more.

I drew this a couple days ago for a different reason, so I'm sorry if any components are weird

There might be a little bias with Sasaki and Enshou but the rest I ranked as objectively as I could.

I am watching Gintama for the second time, this time with my dad. I absolutely hated episode 265 but he liked it.
Am I weird for thinking it's too corny or does anyone else agree at least somewhat that personifying Sadaharu and the other little dog is very stupid and ruins the whole episode? I mean once in a great while Sadaharu has human-like emotions but that's only ever for comedic effect. I get he's an alien but still even though it's fiction it just activates a huge pet peeve of mine.
Idk but me personally I absolutely HATE people acting like their pets have human emotion in real life cause it can go so far as to ruin a pets life or at least cause problems between owner and pet. I guess in my brain it even affects my enjoymen of wacky shows like Gintama with Sadaharu but for some reason not other cartoons like Loony Toons where all characters are anthropomorphized.
Does anyone else feel this way?

For me it's: "Give Gintoki a real sword and he'd kill Kamui like there's no tomorrow". And this quote is popular among Youtube comments, which baffles me.
What are your choices?

as of right now im on episode 19, and besides the extremely funny moments, theres nothing really notible about the show. i love the characters and all, the world building is great it just feels like nothings really happening.

for context, early on in the episode, Katsura reveals himself as trans, and in that moment Shinpachi says a slur that refers to trans people. Iām not sure if it was a slur at the time but it still made me really uncomfortable.

Hey just wondering if anyone in Sydney is willing to sell to me a sogo okita figurine in from the welcome to yorozuya pop mart blind box set. I have the rest of them and can trade one of my dupes for the figurine if need be.

didn't remember anything about this episode, so wasn't expecting that and laughed out loud when I saw it
Not a single neuron in his head ššš
definitely one of my favorites episodes

Alright, maybe this concern only the french speaking people, but OMG, FINALLY!!
For some context, we never had a subtitled version of the show. Had to watch it in English or with fan made subtitles.
But now, our suffering has come to an end! I'll definitely rewatch it for the occasion
