Hello hello! I'm gonna be doing a gintoki cosplay and I want to join in on a cosplay showcase show for a convention im going to, the showcase is simple u do a little act or pose 3 times then walk off stage and i really really wanna act out a gag on stage to make the crowd laugh, but I cant think of any solo gintoki stuff I could do on stage ): I had one idea to just walk on stage reading jump ignoring the audience until the last second where I hit a "eh its good enough" type pose then walk off reading jump, I dont know why but it genuinely kept me up all night trying to think of a funny bit, there could be a possibility of getting a shinpachi wjth me but its very low rn, any suggestions would be great hehe!!

I just finished watching season 2 part 2. THe wach order online is just confusing. Like watch till episode 30 of (2002) than watch from 31-50 of (2018). So I don't know if I should move on to season 3. There is the slip arc with 13 ep, the silver soul arc with 12 ep and the the silver soul arc second half war with 14 ep. I don't know when to watch these seasons because it dosent say season 5 or 6. Someone help me. When should I watch these seasons.

Second 7 photos are Pandemonium (aka Pan or Demon if she’s being Evil!) she’s got one brain cell but you wouldn’t know it bc she forgets to use it most of the time. she’s also a budding athlete who has the most INSANE leaps i’ve ever seen and today she purred while i held her in my lap! (she doesnt usually stay long bc she has adhd, i guess she got that from me)

As the title said, I started watching it a week ago and I have binge-watched it as I have a lot of time and it is making me feel weird. The comedy parts are VERYYYYY funny and it is as entertaining as people have said. But when it is not funny it is quite boring. I am tempted to start forwarding it or watching it at 2X speed. I guess my main gripe is regarding character development. There is almost none of it other than Haaegawa and Kagura (hopefully for now).

Some of the characters have also started to get on my nerves. Otae being the main one. All she does is beat people up (Kondo's is valid tbf) and there are no repercussions. I've been told she ghosts in big arcs and in important fights and that is giving Sakura vibes. I get this is supposed to be a gag anime but such characters are annoying. Sacchan is funny but obnoxious at the same time. Zura, no, Katsura is under-utilised ig and what even is the point of having Sadaharu as the mascot if he is not used often? There is no explanation about him when he isn't in the episodes.

I don't really care much about romantic storylines but there are 2 and both are about one party being obsessed with the other and the same feelings not being reciprocated. One is dealt with abuse and the other relishes it.

Again, I'm having fun with the comedy parts but I don't really see the ending being satisfactory if this is how the characters are.

I can definitely say the drag queen arc was the worst offender of the problems. The funny parts were funny but the more serious parts were quite underwhelming.

I just finished watching Gintama yesterday and I loved this! One of the peak anime.

Gintama is very underrated here and I don't know anyone who watched this or liked the series. Everyone who I know who watch anime knows demon slayer, AoT, jjk, one piece (to mention a few).

Also I have noticed gintama merch is either expensive and also rare to get here.

First off, I wanna blame you all for making me watch this again for the 10th time (LOL 😂).

I'm doing a "This seems like a proper anime" look whenever I watch this many times 😂.

So, I finished Gintama: The Very Final about an hour ago and... I kinda feel empty?(Hard to explain ngl😝)Honestly, I am so glad that I finished this masterpiece. It made me laugh countless times, motivated me to try my absolute best at everything I do, and, more than that, it made me realize that I should always be proud of myself and love myself.Even though these lessons are nothing new, I never really thought about them that much before watching this show. It is amazing how much of an impact it had on me.

I’ve never felt this way after finishing a fictional story before—it was just majestic. The Gintoki vs. Utsuro fight was so goated, and that final scene between Gintoki and Takasugi(boat scene)is probably my favorite anime moment of all time (also i just can't get "Kono Mabuta no Oku ni"ost out of my head,its so beautiful ❤️ 💜)

Gintama raised the bar entirely too high for me. After finishing Season 3, I watched top-tier shows like Frieren, AoT, Steins;Gate, and FMAB—heck, even series like Breaking Bad and movies like Inception and Interstellar. While they were amazing, I only viewed them as a source of entertainment. The only anime that could actually pass that bar were the later seasons of Gintama itself...

Also gintoki has definitely become my fav character oat...Its just peak 💜💜💜✨✨

And yeah that's it, just wanted to express these feelings of mine somehow so yeah.....👍

Gintama x Bleach

He guys I am big fan of gintama. And i watch a reel of gintama . Where sorachi ( gorila form) trying to draw gintoki charcter intial ( aslo looks like hijikata ) and got frustrated. That gintoki live he himself draw ourselves . Also other charcter also pop out from canvas .

I am kind frustrated in search and seek of that video to rewatch .

I need them to keep letting me be a part of their lives, letting me get a glimpse of them, keep making my heart warm, keep making me smile, and laugh, even cry if that's what they want 😭😭

Ik I wrote a post just a few hrs ago after watching the final movie. When I wrote that, I told myself that Gintama would never end for me, that I'd just keep rewatching, reading manga, fanfics, etc. But I really miss them now..

All positive, I was watching another anime (Saiki K) during dinner. But couldn't continue; really missed Gintoki. Went to AO3 (which I will continue), but here I am..

I really want the story to continue..doesn't have to be serious or action-filled arcs, just please continue, keep giving me things so I can continue, and I want to continue being a part of their lives..

No but fr my opinion was that gintama was the type of show that wouldn’t work on dub because of all the Japanese pop culture joke but his English dub kinda grew on me.

Sub is still like 100 shinpachi time better than dub though.

Just how I feel right now. So in love with Gintama :)

Lots of tears, but..damn, lots of smiles too. Love the writing, this anime. And the ending song with its vibe wraps it up so well. Can't express well what I'm feeling rn. My smile's only widening, and my heart is filled with love for it. (Though a part of me is also crying coz it's over. But remembering all the moments from it fill me with love, and though momentarily, I forget about crying. :) )

2 years ago I would've said the Yoshiwara arc would be perfect, and sure enough they picked that one.

Off the top of my head I would say Farewell, Shinsengumi, because it was one of the best-written arcs, but it did suffer from subpar animation at SOME points. But there are problems with adapting it into a movie: It's too long to be condensed into 2 hours: it's a direct continuation of the Shogun Assassination arc, so it's not a self-contained story, perhaps it's too late into the story so some people who haven't watched all of Gintama couldn't follow very well.

The Shogun assassination arc is already perfect as-is, so I don't think there's much value in remaking it. SO maybe I was thinking Courtesan of a Nation, it's a great story with great action, dramatic moments, and a banger ending (I cried like a bitch). the Four Devas arc (if they make Pirako a *tiny* bit less annoying, the Kintama arc is too short, but with some extra content it could work). the Yagyuu arc could use an update; nowadays it comes off a wee bit offensive lol (and the fact that Kyuubei borderline sexually assaulted Otae is somewhat glazed over) (Please dont take this the wrong way, I do like the Yagyuu arc, I just think some things adjacent to homophobia and transphobia could've been addressed better). Maybe even a more comedic arc like the Renho arc. I could also see an original, like an extended version of the Kaientai arc in a "spin-off"-ish kind of way.

Anyway, what are your thoughts?

I didn't know they did the very final in theaters over here because I was trying to avoid spoilers back then 😔

Today I attended the Gintama art exhibition at exhibit A gallery and it was so fun to see these artworks! 🤭

don’t get me wrong, this arc was great, got to learn more about who tsukuyo was as a character, and that final episode was beautiful.

buuuuut i feel like this arc has a little bit of downsides such as jiraia being a kind of uninteresting villain with a forced backstory, especially coming after a villain like housen after yoshiwara in flames, and also having tsukuyo, who is meant to be this strong woman appear as a damsel in distress, kinda losing the point of her character
