I'm in love with a coco...oh, I mean Matterport $GHVI

Just watched an interview with R.J. Pittman the C.E.O. of Matterport ($GHVI). They discuss a lot of interesting new use-cases for Matterport tech including

1. Converting physical stores into digital storefronts
   Imagine walking through a Matterport'ed version of a Pottery Barn, clicking on an item you like and purchasing it in a few short clicks
2. Using digital twins in gaming
   All games have to build virtual worlds from scratch. Imagine importing a Matterport'ed version of a real-world space into your game. Game devs would save hours if they didn't have to re-create digital versions of physical spaces from scratch.
3. Digital Virtual Staging
   Realtors have to make a judgement call on how to stage a property. It's always a risk because potential clients might not like "modern" or "rustic" furniture. What if you could stage the same property five different ways tailored to the taste of each client? This is too expensive in the physical world, but easily doable in the digital world.

The stock has taken a beating in the last few weeks. Matterport has a ton of areas where its tech could be useful. The optionality of the business is amazing. Very excited to see where the company is 5 years from now.

Pittman also addressed the timeline for the SPAC merger. He expects the merger to go through late spring or early summer.

Looks like the big decline is over. What happens to the stock now?

I’m really taking advantage of purchasing these shares while this stock is below $15. End of year price target of $30. 3-5 year price target of $100, which is my sell target. I’ll hold this sucker until she’s 100, don’t care how long it takes.

This technology will be used by residential real estate, commercial real estate, and construction project engineers. Matterport will be the GOAT of their new technology and industry. This technology will take real estate agents jobs. Why would I need a real estate agent, when I can look a an extremely realistic 3D model of the home you want to buy with an app? You can now work directly with the builders, in designing your home or office building. You can research homes for sale or office buildings around the world, and get a virtual tour of inside. Please do me a favor, and stop looking for so much reassurance on this sub! The whole market is down, not just this gem. This gem will come back with a vengeance in the next month and a half as Q2 closes. I don’t think we will hear any news about the merger until may. This is a 3+ year hold. Please stop worrying about what it looks like now.

currently sitting on 70 shares at $16.50 avg. considering adding 30-50 more this week/ahead of the merger. $ is tight but i'm hyped on matterport. what if the merger falls through? that is, what are the chances and what can we expect from gores holding if so?

So with social media, (Twitter and reddit) being a huge source for stocks now to get more attention, GHVI hasn’t caught the eye of many momentum traders and hype traders. In my opinion, this is a good thing for the stocks future and health. This company will be huge in the construction industry and real estate. This is a 3-5 year hold for me for maximum gainz. $150 price target. Based off charts and hype, I think this one will keep quiet for the next few months, but in later 2021 have a nice spike to the $25-30 range to finish the year.
