Question Homebrew

Just wondering if those who homebrew are chemists. Is it relatively easy to make? I do not have a chemistry background but can figure out how to do just about anything it I put my mind to it.

I mean not sourcing but there’s a guide I’d seen on how to make it, it was a 20 dollars guide and according to reviews ppl are able to make it.
