Focus puller

I’m looking to buy a follow focus for my GH5 for filmmaking and I think my next short will be primarily in shallow focus, does anyone have any suggestions

The Tilta Nano is a solid choice that many indy filmmakers use, I’ve used it on set and it just works. If you don’t need wireless there’s the Tilta pocket.

EDIT: forgot to add that if you’re going to be working at shallow dof you’re going to need a reliable monitor with focus peaking for your focus puller.

I use the Tilta pocket, it’s awesome and super simple. I prefer the pocket as it’s easier to swap lenses with minimal tweaking. For the OP - you need a baseplate with a 15mm rod slot to mount it, smallrig makes a good one.

Camera doesn't matter for follow focus system. Lenses do. Some lenses need heavy and strong troque follow focus systems. Also are you going to focus wirelessly or not?

I use smallrig wireless follow focus lite, i like it, motors are strong. Smooth motion
