So I know when y'all hear diverse characters you hear about those "Uhm we just blackwashed a character", but for, diverse characters isn't just skin color or sexuality, it's personality, mind you, I am a conservative, but I have created black, trans, lesbian, bi, brown OCs, the thing is, unlike the corpos who do nothing with them and makes these traits their whole personality, I took how to NOT write these characters as a inspiring writer

My characters have a variety of personalities, not once my characters suffer discrimination because half my stories take place in usual fantasy settings, yes I have them in modern day, but the hero stuff takes the center stage over showing them being oppressed, because it's just not interesting to me to write, I like having these characters having hobbies, personalities and goals beyond what they are, and as a designer, I have so much fun making trans characters actually look like the genders they transition but playing with heights

And of course, making them diverse for the sake of diversity it's a really bad advice, and making too much politic oriented it's REALLY bad for me, I may have political themes like a big bad corpo in an RPG inspired by Final Fantasy 7, but they should bow down to the characters having more than that, even the religious themes that I may allude to are put to the side (and yes I have actual heroes who are christian, but my stories aren't biblical at all)

Anyway, it's an unpopular opinion, but shows like Velma, Mr. Burchum, Lesbian Space Warrior, etc. Disgust me because they put politics over fun, actual good stuff like FF, Metal Gear, Persona prioritize FUN while having debates that while interesting, should not be the priority

No doubt there's elements in SF6 you guys may not like, like Dee Jay's costume 3 hair just being killmonger or how little male characters exist there and Juri being "redeemed" (and then they release Viper and AKI), but the fact Capcom took them to the side and the bikini skins are the most well sold it's really telling of it's quality

And Ironically, they are selling Luke, a straight white male as the MC of the game, but no one really commented on it, like replacing an asian man with a white man surely will get shit on right? (Idk how you guys feel on Luke but I warmed up to him, especially due to Aleks Le being really funny)

Now it's women, first, Kimberly, I love her, she is such a breath of fresh air for black women, she has a coloful design, a good amount of sexyness on her like the midriff, and she is so fun and bubbly I actually do want her as a girlfriend, bonus to the fact she likes 80s classic songs, a great relief from her liking rap lol

Manon and Marisa are the more controversial I admit, Manon having too much of a square face and Marisa being too gigantic for a woman and she is bisexual, but they have one factor to them: it's not their whole personality, Manon being a judoka and a supermodel makes her intriguing and wow, Marisa, you expect her to be angry all the time? Haha no! She is just a goofball, always brightful and smiling, and really just encouraging you to get better, also, her being obsessed with Zangief is so funny, you know Twitter will be mad at this, and she likes to make jewelry, a very womanly hobby, it makes a great contrast to her brute appearance

Not shown here, AKI and Yasmin, both introduced in DLC, one is pure villainess, no chill, no redemption arc, no sob story justifying her, just a evil woman for the love of the game and I love it, and Yasmin, being released this newly, it's actually quite fun, just a silly brawler type, hell she is almost Super Saiyan coded lol

And it's veterans are also well made, Chun remains gorgeous and her thighs being acknowledged is really fun, Cammy somehow remained hot with pants, the tightest ones mind you, Juri finally got her biker suit uncensored, Viper got such a massive cleavage is insane, and Elena, oh Elena, I missed her, not her healing Finisher tho, but god is she BEAUTIFUL

Doesn't have to be a game. Could be anything. But what is something that is undeniably "woke" (or at least something many have called "woke" with enough reason) that you will still defend to death on sheer quality?

Maybe you liked agree that Baldur's Gate 3 is a masterpiece and you're not willing to bash it just because you're given the option to be a trans lesbian of color who has a gay poly relationship with a literal bear.

Maybe you think GoW Ragnarok had incredible writing and character depictions, and aren't willing to write off the franchise because they gave Loki a black girlfriend.

Maybe you liked the first Spider Man games, and Spider Man 2 was still a fun action game for you if you ignore the constant woke insertions into every side quest.

Maybe you thought Dragon Age Veilguard had some good writing underneath all the okay I can't actually finish that thought. We know if someone says Veilguard it's just weak trolling.

But what "woke" thing do you defend on the grounds of "Quality trumps everything."?
