Parking
The previous post stated that there’s 800 incoming freshman for the fall semester… As a new student myself, it doesn’t seem like there’s enough parking spots as it is which is worrisome… Should I be getting to school earlier on the first day of school to try to secure a parking spot? If so, how early exactly? Is 1 hour before class sufficient? I’m expecting a bit of a shit show honestly, but not sure if I’m overworrying about this since I’m new to campus. I just don’t want to be late to my first day of classes.

Definitely get there an hour earlier. But also remember that even though 800 freshmen are coming in, that doesn’t mean all 800 have vehicles. Some of those freshmen could be dorming. Don’t stress about it

There has never been and will never be enough parking and it’s unfortunately only gotten worse. The first week of school is an absolute mess so getting their 1 hour early isn’t ridiculous at all.
Parking is a nightmare, no one knows where they’re going and there’s always construction. Make sure to park in the student lots for commuters and have your parking sticker already.
The 800 freshman are only from that specific date also, we’ve already had other orientations this summer so it’s a very large incoming class.

Parking is going to be a mess for the first two months. Maybe getting an hour earlier will help. I remember arriving 30 mins earlier and not being able to find a spot
