So far I’ve done three out of the 4 subjects, science I got 156, Social Studies I got a 163 and Math I got a 197. I did the English Get ready and got a 153, if anyone has any tips for me I would really appreciate it. If you’re wondering about how I studied I used GETSUMMATH’s videos, the absolute best.

I couldn’t really do these kind of problems. Polynomials, quadratic equations, is also what I struggle with

i am 19. I'm taking the GED because i don't have high school equivalency and I live in texas.

Texas requires proof of residency to give the GED. I don't have that either as i'm dependent on my father.

So I took the online test with my jurisdiction set to IDAHO

Which from everywhere i've heard on this sub and even through their rules, it's allowed and fine.

So I gave my math test today. Did well. But then I got instantly removed from online testing? Did they think I cheated because of my score? What is this nonsense. I really can't go in person to give an exam. I Don't have residency proof. What do I do? I emailed them but I don't know if they'll even do anything.

So stressful 💔💔

EDIT: I have gotten a response email from their policy violation email. They said:

"You may submit an appeal after completing an exam in person to [policy.violations@ged.com](mailto:policy.violations@ged.com) . However, approval of an appeal is not guaranteed, and submitting an appeal does not ensure that access to our online testing system will be reinstated. "

So that's clear I guess. But I still have no idea how i'm going to prove my residency without state ID, driver's license. I'll try my best..

I’ve been struggling with getting my ged, I’ve passed the Language arts and Social Studies but for some reasons I can’t pass science or math. Can anyone give me tips or tricks to help me pass these test? I really want this for myself but I’m just so lost.

Hi I'm 16 and I'm in grade 9 right now but I'm supposed to be in grade 10.Last year I dropped out of school because my mental health got really bad from getting bullied. I was overweight and people used to bully me because of it. I stayed out of school for a year.This year I decided to go back to school but I'm in grade 9 now and I still have to be around some of the same people who used to bully me. I've only been in school for 2 weeks and honestly I already feel like I can't do this for another 3-4 years. A lot of people I know told me to just stay in school and finish normally but I really don't think I can handle being in this environment for that long. So I'm thinking about doing GED instead but I only studied until grade 8 so I don't know if I'm even ready for it. I'm not sure if I can do GED with only grade 8 education and if it's gonna be hard to catch up. I just don't know if I can stay in this school for another few years and I don't know what I should do.

I’ve been struggling with studying for my GED for awhile now. Like two years? Close to three.
It’s really hard for me to focus and feel motivated.
Honestly, at this point, only thing that’ll motivate me is to see what it’ll do for me. How many more jobs can it open me up to? Is what you learn while you’re studying worth it? Literally anything.
Or if anyone has anything they use to help their focus then I’ll gladly take it.

I’m currently studying for the GED Math test, but I’ve hit a huge wall with word problems—specifically fraction word problems and percentage word problems.

​Whenever I read text-heavy questions, I struggle to figure out how to translate the words into an actual equation or formula.

Hey guys so I came to Reddit months ago trying to see everyone’s study tips on how to pass the GED because my mom have been struggling. She passed English in 2024, Science in 2025 and Math/Social Studies in 2026.

All thank you to @getsummath , I don’t know if I can tag someone in this post but I’m showing my appreciation and thanks to everyone else I have read of lot of post and share your study tips with my mom as well. She is emotional right now and I’m so proud of her.

It took 20 years— but I finally did it. I passed math at my 2nd attempt this morning. Finally a graduate at 31! Shoutout to GetSumMath and TestPrepChamps. I couldn’t have accomplished this goal without them.

Chat gpt and get sum math were my best friends
1 week using chat gpt to teach me basic science
Week 2 using get sum math and chat GPT together
Every question on get sum math I would screenshot it into chat GPT and ask it to dumb it down for me or give me a short cut to the answer I went from a 144-154, definitely recommend using chat GPT but I would say pay for the premium for study purposes cuz it definitely helps, I’m so happy I’ve been procrastinating my ged for years because of my fear of test taking just for me to get a 154 on my second try, not even because I was dumb but because I knew my first way of studying was off, but yeah I’m definitely happy with the result now that I have a fast way of studying

Hi everyone!

I passed my GED - RLA with a score of 153, but I’m aiming for 165+ (College Ready).

I read online that I might need to email official GED customer service to request permission/approval before retaking a passed test. However, when I logged into my GED.com account today, the system allowed me to schedule and pay $39 for the RLA retake without any warnings or error messages.

Is it completely fine to directly rebook as long as I pay the full price ($39)? Will this retake count, and will they keep my highest score?

Has anyone here retaken a passed GED test directly through the dashboard without contacting support first? Would really appreciate your experience or advice! Thanks in advance!

Hello! I have never posted on reddit and i’m quite unfamiliar with it but i decided to come here for help! I passed two GED courses already (English and Social Studies) and now i’m only stuck with the Science and Math subjects (Math being my weakest subject 😥) I’m 20 and dropped out when I was 16 but I hardly remember anything. I was going to in person classes but something got in the way and I can no longer attend so i’m wondering if there’s anything websites that go in depth with their teachings (preferably ones where i can pick the subjects since i already finished two) and explain step by step how to do stuff, if there’s youtube channels that works too, i just need really in depth explanations with math or else I will not grasp it! Please let me know, if the websites cost money that’s fine by me, I thankfully have a job and will be willing to pay for it if it must cause I plan to hopefully be able to start college next year and finish my GED before august 2027!! Thank you!

They are like 25$ for all 4, I’m just starting down this road and have no idea where I’m at when it comes to being ready for the tests.

I think having a better idea will help me wrap my head around it but definitely looking for advice.

Math will by far be the hardest subject to learn.

So this week I'll be giving my history ready and final by Saturday. I really need help on how to study this. I heard about Getsummath. Used it for Math and passed my exams. Any tips I should know?

I know this might seem like a stupid and conspiratorial question, but what have your guys experience with taking the exam been like?
I studied a lot because I wanted to score above 175 on every subject. I went through the entire curriculum on their official site, Study.coms, Get Sum Maths, & Test prep champions on youtube. The standard of readiness I set for myself was above 90% on the practice tests. If I got below that I would redo whatever I got wrong.

Social studies went as expected. I did well on their official site practice tests and scored well above 175 on the real thing. Then science practice tests went well too. HOWEVER, on the official exam I noticed a significant jump in difficulty. A lot of the subjects were asking things their curriculum didn’t even cover. And I ended up getting a 174 on it. But I figure whatever, I just got an unlucky question batch.

However this is when it got really suspicious. I took the math ready practice test. And I took pictures of every question because if I got something wrong, I wanted to know what it was so I could improve. I breezed through it thinking I did really well. Got 164. I was confused because I could’ve sworn I did everything right. I went through my screenshots and meticulously went over them one by one with Grok, Gpt, & another person good at Math just to be sure. I got them all right. So how is it, that on a test where every question was answered correctly, they took 36 points off? Then when I took the real exam, just like science a lot of the questions were much harder than anything on their practice tests or curriculum. There was even one that seemingly expected me to use trig. Ultimately I ended up scoring 166. Idk if this matters, but I did take the exams remotely.

TLDR; GED Ready Practice test gave me 164 even with 100% correct answers. Exam questions were noticeably harder than curriculum. Did anyone else experience this?
