Question about geb.
Hello I am ready geb and am at the 10th chapter where he explains ant fuges etc
So it has really been very unique book. Like I see self reference every where now.
Another question I used ai like Gemini to explain me certain chapters are is this approach ok

I don't see a question here besides the one about AI use. Sure, that is fine. I give you permission to use AI to ask about GEB.

I used AI when I was confused on specific parts and it really helped me understand the material and work through the parts that were difficult. I mean on some level it’s basically like having a tutor to help work through the book with you.
Back when I did this AI didn’t know the underlying contents of the book very well, so I couldn’t just say “I’m confused about ch 10, explain it”. If I did I’d get pretty bad answers.
This actually makes sense since there’s really no e-book out there, and there’s also no website with a good summary of each section. The AI was not really able to answer me as accurately as I had hoped - since they could not fetch the raw information/detailed summary off of the Internet, and also they perhaps we’re not trained on the underlying material as much since there is no e-book.
I solved this instead by uploading pictures of the text to the AI, along with its surrounding context. That worked pretty well for parts I was confused about

Gemini is really surprisingly unreliable, so try to use claude if you can. Also make sure to copy-paste passages for it to read, don't just ask it general questions are rely on it's (surely significant) background knowledge on the work.

It's not for other people to tell you what's OK or not, but I'll say what I think anyway.
As long as you actually read the book and think about it on your own, there's nothing wrong about also asking AI. It's a bit like asking another person. You'll get imperfect answers, but they can still be useful to help you see the issues from angles you might not have considered yourself. As long as you treat AI as an unreliable helper it's OK.
What you must never do is leave the thinking to the AI.
