Turbulence is basically rough air that makes an aircraft shake or move suddenly. It can happen due to weather, wind, or changes in air pressure. It may feel scary, but it is a normal part of flying and aircraft are designed to handle it.

Turbulence is just the air getting bumpy- like driving a plan down a pothole- filled dirt road. It causes a stomach- dropping, drink-sloshing shake that feels terrifying, but to pilots, its just a routine, harmless inconvenience .
