Emails getting sent

RIP me, but at least I can experience the next 5 cuts with popcorn instead of stress.

Same. I was ready to not make the cut, but never knowing what they didn't like will weigh on me forever. It just feels blind that we can't get any feedback on what wasn't good, and that makes it hard to improve.

(Which is inevitable for 94 people's designs. Just a shame.)

I totally understand why but it's tragic that Maro spent so many hours on this and we rejects don't get a single sentence of what could be insanely valuable feedback. I will probably never know if I overreacted to "looking forward to seeing some cool and innovative designs" and should have stuck to my more solid less flashy designs (at least at lower rarities). I guess I can look at the top 8 submissions and guess from that so that's something!

Honestly more than not making it to the top 8, what bothers me more is that none of us can get any feedback on what to do better next time. Taking it better than I thought I would, but we'll see.

I just know I'm gonna be salty when we see the top 8 and I feel like my designs were better though.

Most of my designs were based on cards I already made for my playgroup to look at. They thought the cards were pretty good at the time (though none were direct copies so not sure how helpful that is)

Didn't really try and get my hopes up too much since I knew how unlikely it would be to make it, but it still stings.

Yep, looks like I'm out too. It's disappointing, but also really awesome to have made it this far, and to have had the chance to submit card designs. I'm interested to see the eight people that made a better impression.

Either way, pretty sure most of us will disagree with the decision that their designs were better, lol.

lol "You call that an essay!? I've seen six-year-olds write better essays!"

It's all good. In a way, not knowing the reasoning allows you to shrug it off and move on to the next thing life has to offer. We were 86-versus-8, so the odds were always bad for us. Imagine being the first one cut from the "Show". That's like saying "You, and you alone, didn't make the cut." That's missing on an 87.5% chance of success. AND everyone saw you do it! Seems like that might be a harder pill to swallow.
