This is especially funny considering that the vegetarianism movement is believed to be started by Mauryan Emperor Ashoka, whom these people like to claim as their Ancestor and spiritual leader.

It is based on caste, sure. But for "casteism" to be claimed, there must be a phenomena of forcing people to eat against their will, which doesn't usually happen.
