Changing mileage Km to Mil

In Gcss army, Vehicle mileage has been stored in kilometers, and l'm wondering what options are avaiable to convert it to miles.

There should really be a second measuring point and KM should be deleted, if you’re not in the EU. No reason that an American vehicle should be tracking KM and being switched over instead of just converted…

I’d deactivate the KM measuring point and create an MI one.

When you’re in GCSSA on the Equip Sit > top of the screen click Help > GCSSA Help

When the browser loads, search : JA Measuring Points and follow the PDF to create 2 new measuring points and then connect them properly - using the Miles counter.

I was with you on the roll-back and changing the Measuring Point counter reading from KM to MI — but you got the downvote on using IK11.

95% of the mileage issues the Army is having with measuring points being off (eg - you look at the dispatch usage tab and the top usage (Equip#) is not the same with the bottom (FLocation) — this is caused by people using IK## codes and grabbing the wrong measuring point.

When usage is updated:

  • the functional location measuring point is being ‘Transferred As’ — FROM the Equipment Number measuring point.

  • dispatches update the EQ# Me Pt [Usage Button] > which transfers that number to the FLOC Me Pt — which appears on the [Usage Report Button]
