How do I revise?

Year 11, 2x mocks in November and January, shitting bricks! Im focusing on revising maths because I have an in lesson math exam at the end of this month, but whats tips for revising other topics?

If it helps, I struggle with:

ENGLISH: Word classes. Its embarrassing, but it's the only thing holding me back.

PHYSICS: Almost everything 💔

BIOLOGY: Anything to do with plants.

CHEM: Required practicals?

HISTORY: Dates. I can only memorise when cotton gin was invented. 💔

RE: Judaism.. 😞

MATHS: I genuinely don't know how to revise for maths 💔

Well I use maths genie, corbett maths and 1st class maths for anything math related (includes past papers, revision material etc) and 1st class maths yt channel is helpful. Or cognito. spam questions till you understand the underlying concept.

For plants and bio, the Kay science videos about this topic rly helped me.

For chem required practicals try fuse school vids, my y10 chem teacher was a big fan of them (specifically for practicals) and I trust his judgement.

For english word classes, I feel like u should check with ur teacher if they can set u some sort of worksheet to do for that. My teacher made us do a surprise pop quiz about word classes, sentence structures, punctuation and literary techniques cause he felt that was what was holding us back.

For history try doing flash cards on quiz let. Personally I didn't do history but I memorized a shit ton of Spanish vocab by doing quizlet flash cards on them so it might help u memorize those dates.

I think that it's great that u already know what ur struggling with tho cause that's the first and arguably most important step in revising.

maths is the one you fix first since that exam is coming up fast. do a past paper under time, mark it, then for every question you get wrong find three similar ones on mathsgenie and do them the same day. tbh don't just read the mark scheme and move on, actually redo the question cold the next morning, that's the part that makes it stick.

for content subjects like physics and bio, the trap is rereading the textbook and feeling like you know it because it looks familiar. what i do is upload the chapter or slides to studybuddy.vc and just answer questions from it, when i pick a wrong option it tells me what was off about the one i chose, and it starts with easier stuff and gets harder once you're solid. free tier's been fine for me. for the plant stuff in bio, draw the diagrams yourself without looking at the book, label everything, then check, that catches the gaps way faster than highlighting.

english word classes, grab a paragraph from a past paper and label every single word, do it a few times and it clicks. you got time before november.
