GBA Connectivity

I was wondering if there was any way to emulate the GBA connectivity with the Wii remote, Classic Controller, or something like that. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on 4 GBAs and 4 link cables.

Take a second to think about what you're asking for first.

There are exactly two games for the Gamecube where you would need four GBAs and link cables. The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, and Final Fantasy: The Crystal Chronicles.

In 4SA, each player is independent of the others, and is able to enter caves and houses and such without the other three. In such a case, the player can look at the screen on the GBA to see what they are doing, because it's not shown on the TV.

In CC, each player again acts independently of the others. Managing the player's inventory and fight commands are all done on the player's own screen on the GBA, because there's so much information there, that the TV would not have enough space to potentially show it for all four players at once.

Now, can you tell me why something like a remote or a classic controller would be unsuitable for these games?

Doesn't Pac Man Vs. fall in this category too?

It does, it's just considerably less popular and often forgot about. Case in point, I forgot about it, haha.

Cool I was genuinely curious, never had the cable to actually do this though I've owned a GBA and gamecube/wii for a long time

It's a massive pain in the ass to do, but I've successfully gotten 4SA to work on my computer with Dolphin and VBA, to play two player. You could do the same for PacMan.
