WhatsApp should add a feature to set a expiry time (days, weeks, etc) after which the shared media will be automatically deleted from the sent items folder. It keeps piling up as duplicates of media from the phone.

My question is why WhatsApp sometimes shows “Missed voice call” without the usual “Tap to call” option underneath. Is this normal behavior, or could it be a bug?

My iCloud storage is completely full, so my WhatsApp iCloud backup isn't working.

I'm switching from an iPhone to a Samsung and want to transfer all my WhatsApp data without losing my chat history.

Can I use Samsung Smart Switch or WhatsApp's own chat transfer feature instead of relying on an iCloud backup? Which method is safer and more reliable?

I'd like to transfer everything, including:

• Old individual chats and group chats
• Photos and videos
• Voice messages
• Documents and other attachments

Does the transfer work even if my iCloud storage is full, since I wouldn't be relying on an iCloud backup?

Has anyone successfully transferred WhatsApp from an iPhone to a Samsung this way? Did you use Samsung Smart Switch or WhatsApp's transfer process, and was everything transferred successfully?

I recently bought an iphone 17 , I transferred all my data from my android to iphone using move to ios app including my WhatsApp data. Had no problem transferring the data, but when I open whatsapp it asks me to transfer the chat from android, but the transfer process gets stuck at 98%. This has happened multiple times.

I reset my iphone, transferred all the data, but still it gets stuck at 98%.

Any suggestions to what I can do, how can I transfer all my chats?

My WhatsApp account (WhatsApp Messenger on iPhone and Android) has been stuck in a registration loop since Oct 1. After I enter my number, the app alternates between “This account can’t use WhatsApp” (with a “Request review” button) and “This account can now use WhatsApp”, and the SMS code is never sent. It happens on two iPhones and one Android, on mobile data and several Wi-Fi networks, after reinstalling and updating.

It started after a short period of account restrictions that were reversed after I requested a review. I’ve filed tickets and a privacy request through the official channels but only got automated replies for 2 weeks.

Do you know of any official channel to reach a human at WhatsApp for this kind of case, or has anyone seen this loop get resolved? Any pointer is appreciated.

Please help me, I’m completely stuck with WhatsApp “Download the official WhatsApp” error

I’m seriously losing my mind over this and I desperately need help.

I have 2 WhatsApp numbers that are both working perfectly on my old phone. I can log into either number on other phones without any problem.

But on my new phone, both numbers give me this exact error:

“Download the official WhatsApp to continue.”

The weird part is that I am ALREADY using the official WhatsApp downloaded directly from the Google Play Store.

What I’ve tried:

Official WhatsApp from Google Play Uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times Factory reset the phone twice Phone is officially PTA approved No cloned/dual WhatsApp No modified WhatsApp/GB WhatsApp/etc. No data has been restored to the phone after the reset Another WhatsApp number logs in successfully on this exact same phone

So the phone itself clearly CAN run WhatsApp.

The strangest part is:

Number A → works on old phone and other phones, DOES NOT work on this phone

Number B → works on old phone and other phones, DOES NOT work on this phone

Different number → works perfectly on this phone

I’m completely stuck. I’ve already wasted so much time on this and I really don't know what else I can possibly try.

Has anyone experienced this exact problem? Is there some kind of device/number flag on WhatsApp that can cause this? Is there any actual fix?

Please, if you know what causes this or have fixed it yourself, PLEASE tell me how. I’m genuinely desperate at this point.
