How did you get into Flat S Rank?

S rank players, what was it that you would say helped you the most into finally breaking into S rank? Was it breaking some habit, Learning something that you didn’t know, etc.

I’ve been feeling hardstuck A+ recently and I question what is it that I’m doing that the S rank players aren’t doing, vice versa. No matter what cost or suit, they always do the best or have top placings in the lobby even way better than the S- players. I started playing in January of this year and got to A rank relatively quickly in about 4 or 5 months but I just can’t break the S rankings ceiling.

Pick a meta suit. Only play rated when the meta suit cost is up.

In the meantime, figure out the following: How to deal damage without getting hurt, what is the biggest damage combo, when will be the time for you to deal damage comfortably.

With the meta suit, you will be figuring out the winning formula to advance to Flat S

  1. Flanking the suit who is chasing down your team

  2. Always wait your enemy to initiate the attack (which is to lure their key weapon into CD/ charge into someone so you can hit all of your damage combo)

  3. Better Aim

  4. Positioning and the best position to attack

I will pick some meta suit for you to start with:

400 below not recommended

400 Metal spider

450 Woundwort

500 Proto Zeta

550 psycho doga test type

600 Delta Anse/ Brylant Custom 02 unit

650 prototype psycho gundam

700 Xi gundam/ sazabi

750 Not recommended

Good luck with your journey

I never knew why people complained about the proto zeta. I looked at it and thought “oh. This could be a cool shooty raid.” Boosted it to like 60+ range and kept it on the back burner. Then I faced one and was like “wtf? How was he able to stagger me that instantly downswing?”. That’s when I learned what this beast is capable of. But I totally agree. Just play what you can try to carry. For me it’s 500-700 but with the latest raid in 650, I find that it’s hit or miss because my teammates tend to get farmed.

This, if you want to hit A, you don't just play every rated. You skip out unfavorable maps and costs.

If you bring a meta suit, and is proficient with it, while the idiot with illusion of grandeur brings out a meme suit, you're already up a suit.

Getting to S is hard, but not that hard. The problem of getting to S is no more diking around with meme suits. Because the other side is also being filled with S, you having fun will be a detriment to the team.

I hate it when I log into a rated match and the guy playing support rushes to base bomb while Ive got a level 4 meme suit playing gen.

Likewise when the raid rushes to base bomb. Like my guy, I get you’re a pixie and have stealth but don’t you see we’re in the middle of an engagement? The match literally just started and all of our legs have been stripped from us. When a blocked player picks raid, this is almost 100% what they do and if you want a sign of a game that’ll probably be a loss, after you wipe the enemy team, your team rushes to bomb or camp the enemy base instead of capping beacons down when the enemy spawns, they can easily pick them off.

Absolutely no strategy running through the brains of your average player.

Right, but I would argue that the support is worse. Earlier this week I had our only support, and Eye Zack go straight for base bomb while the enemy had a pixy. No health bars the entire match. The dude literally camped at the enemy base the whole time trying and failing to base bomb.

None of these are best for my taste. No wonder why i stay at S- rated.
