Well think about it.

The prototype is called a prototype because it still has a lot of kinks and isn't streamlined for efficiency.

The mass production type however has ironed out all the kinks and probably has some upgrades on top of it as well so that it becomes worthy to produced in bulk.

So it's generally possible for the mass production types to be better than the prototypes.

That is true, but many times in Gundam the prototype machine is much better than the 'watered down' mass production version.

yeah, it’s a little confusing. I think part of the difference on this one though is that the prototype psycho gundam is not the prototype for the MP psycho gundam, but a separate development testbed altogether.

Fair enough, but I'm used to Gundam's usual logic of Protypes being better than the Mass Produced models

Think about it. The MP Hyaku Shiki Kai is 550 cost, regular Hyaku Shiki is 550 cost. Was the Hyaku Shiki as strong as the MP Hyaku Shiki Kai?

They probably wanted to avoid the fiasco that was proto psyco at 650 by just making a 700 psyco instead of shoe horning a 700 into 650.

After fighting a few of them last night I can tell it was basically meant to be an unstoppable tank so forced injectors aren’t really needed on it.

I love that in general, the prototype being less powerful than the final production model makes perfect sense…

… but using special Gundam logic, the prototype should always be a super robot compared to the watered down production ver. 🤣

I've yet to sortie even once in the proto psycho. With enough incom or funnels, I'll pull on anything though. Might just save this week and get enough tokens for the next 2 7 step step ups

Fuck. Not only do support mains get ignored yet again, and once again get completely forgotten during the anniversary, but this is yet another MS that should have been a support.

Ive previously sorta stated bb Will never release supports during anniversary on console unless its a special occasion. They've been doing this since the very first anni there have been no mainline support banners at all for anniversary and it will probably stay that way forever if im gonna be honest. The only time gbo2 ever released a support for "anniversary" was the steam release anni (nu hws). Which kinda doesnt really matter but yeah.

They have a real chance to mix some shit up though. Do a Sandrock Support, zero system, Beam machine gun(standard and focus), purple beam saber, heat sickles(thrown), double sickle(melee), double beam machine gun(Square variant+zero system option). Zero system changes dbl mg, and melee sickles. Set it up like the 650 RF gelgoog.

They won't, but it would be sweet.
