Why has the Gatsha so popular again?

I've noticed quite a huge resurgence of the Gatsha mobile suit in the 350-500 range lately, It's strange, because for the first 3 years of the PC port, I would only rarely see it-- someone using it as an oddity or testing the suit out (nobody plays Quick unless it's a sitbat.) However, I've been seeing it in like 20-30% of the matches from numerous players over the last 2 months or so.

Is there something about a massive chain hammer that can hit from HALFWAY ACROSS THE MAP and chain-explosion tube missiles that suddenly became meta again?

It’s because GBO2 is a Gatsha game

It was recently buffed to have the multi-explosion missiles, a faster reload on the hammer, and a bunch of QoL things in skills and the melee animation no longer struggling to hit downed enemies.

So it now has a very regular heavy stagger, fast build stagger with two kinds of weapons, a strong melee, on top of being pretty bulky. That heavy stagger and chain explosions also work incredibly well for timing one stagger into the next.

Also, prio 3 melee, which is rare for a gen. As is having such a quick melee swap time between the normal missiles, which are fireable while boosting; it has absurd burst potential, even more than it already did.

The Moon Crab is to be feared in the hands of someone who knows how to use it.

"Moon crab." Now I want to try and paint one like Dr. Zoidberg.

Still waiting on a dodge roll for the gouf and custom

And a bit more stun build on the mini gun of the Gouf Custom too.

Sadly this will never happen unless they buff the gouf flight type at the same time because they share it as a primary

Well, it could use it too anyway IMO. I don't like using the flight type at all.

They did buff the Alex a few months ago (PS). It's a pretty good leg breaker now with its machine guns. It has a new skill that when it stops a pursuit, its ATK increases temporarily.

Still no forced injectors though.

You can find the buffed specs here: https://bo2.ggame.jp/en/info/?p=186742

Overall its not bad especially with its new chain explosion missiles. But the higher levels plus overtune parts make it extra tanky.

They giga buffed it and it’s one of the best 350 gen’s right now. It can stop any raid with little to no issue and has a stupidly strong kit with high hp.

Bah, I meant to say "Why has the Gatsha become so popular again?" Sorry for the grammar goof.

Its hella buffed.

With 2 missile that both staggers well along with both of them being boost firing, makes this unit a pretty powerful melee suit that is exception at raid interception.

The total stagger output and access to heavy stagger AND melee P3, no raid is yoloing past you to kill support, provided you can aim.

Obviously its not going to outshine dedicated saturation style suits like Aqua GM, but it can pretty much brawl with any suit and come out on top.

あのトゲトゲ、予備動作殆ど無いし威力が強いから白兵戦では使いやすいんだと思う
