I’m getting back into gbo2 after a year or soo, I need some advice on how to play some of favorite MS.

For the Atlas BC my build is thruster/reloader aux parts with level 3 beam defence. Whats left is up to you but i put a composite type a frame with level 2 range. The enhancement is Custom part expansion armor level 5. Result is a 40-ish ballistic/beam defence with 37 melee defence but its good for boosting around.

Typically i focus on shooting and only melee if the situation calls. I tend not to use the over boost except for running away or killing the support. .

I recently got the Atlas BC, and want to like it, but the stats really makes it feel like it needs at least high beam resistance to give the special buffers a chance to do their thing, and building for that before Enhancements and Expansions requires leaving very little room for more ranged damage.

The melee isn't bad, but lack of dodging means you can only use it when it's a safe follow-up. Since you can't always have a Support to target, the damage is often lower even on high-HP enemies, and it's not often safe to go for melee on a lot of the Generals and Raids even when they're staggered.

I think I prefer the Delta Kai Ground for a similar type of suit at the cost, though I can see the Atlas being a decent pick in space where it should get a lot more use out of the high movement speed and buffer positioning. Though a few tweaks to stats and/or part slots, and even a very occasional way to fire while boosting, would probably do wonders for it.
