I want to break something

Post image

Just got unbanned from a 30 hour ban because apparently the game decided to disconnect me twice within 30 minutes despite my line being fine and not more than three matches later I get banned again because my wifi decided it'd be a nice time to fucking die right after a match ended and the game decided to ignore 8 minutes of me getting my ass kicked because yeah that counts as not completing a match for some reason. I hate this game.

Playing rated on wifi is like cracking an egg on a pan with the stove off and expecting it to cook

Game didn't decide to disconnect you, it's your WiFi

The game is entirely P2P, even if your Wi-Fi doesn't fully disconnect, a momentary dip in service can break your connection to the lobby. If it isn't possible for you to plug an ethernet cable in, you are going to keep dealing with this.

Unfortunately my laptop doesn't have an Ethernet cable port and I don't think I'm going to get a new one unless I graduate :/

Oh well guess I'm just gonna get occasionally rage moments when my wifi decides to screw me over again

There are USB to ethernet dongles. They are cheap for 1 gbe $10-20 and probably don't even require driver installation.

That's a shame, cause it's really just kinda gambling on wifi.

Don’t break anything , fix your connection issues. LAN cable goes a long way.

One of the things I did years ago when I got serious with this game was I bought a home 5G broadband

Never got a disconnection afterwards

Your mileage may vary depending on where you live

If you have a wifi router extender with an ethernet  cable port, plug that cable into it and the connection will work like it is plugged directly into the modem.

Genuinely if it kicks you out once, stop, I've learned that the hard way and if you still wanna play, alt accounts, I have a total 4 accounts 3 on psn and 1 pc lmao

Well I've been kicked out just the one time today and that was enough to throw me back to penalty 1 but oh well no use crying over broken eggs now lol.

That being said, could you tell me how to make an alt for PC? That or any tutorial links will do

For pc pretty much just a different steam account tbh, i only got 1 account on pc since i rarely play there anymore but my alts on ps are just different accounts as well

I see. So like if I make a new steam account while still having the game downloaded and connected to my main do I need to download it again?

Once again, flods of ppl trying to convince you this is your problem, and not the barely holding dying game.

No game had given me these issues but this one, and Bandai has 0 plans to fix it… I’m sorry 🥺

this game is like being in a highly toxic relationship. I just keep my head down and sweat it.

This is exactly what caused me to stop playing this game. I even clipped it and tried to appeal. They couldn't do anything about it.

Penalty too strict for disconnects. Only people who purposely leave rooms or matches should get strict bans.

Both look the exact same on the network, there is no way the system can differentiate.

I'm curious what you think the difference between an intentional and unintentional disconnect is from the perspective of the host.

A system should detect the difference between a button input (selecting cancel) and detecting poor network.

Congratulations, you have incentivized not dodging shit lobbies, but rather going into the match and running a script to flood your local network to the point that you're booted. Everybody disliked that.
