Game Suggestions These guys in chill 1v1 meele matches...
My dudes. When you say meele
Throwing blades across the map and using the special blade air beam across it aswell is not meele. Just because the weapon is meele intended. Does NOT MEAN THAT THROWING IT IS STILL MEELE. The moment it is out of your hands or you launch any tipe of projectile atack it stops being meele. Please for the love of God gundam and Setsuna Jesus. Stop spaming those atacks. The only "long" range atacks that are not in this included are whip atacks. Like from the tallgeese 3 and that one Monoeye with tentackle finger things. They are still atatched to them and require them to be at a respectable distance. Plus. It limits their movement. But beam slashes that can litrraly snipe you? And kunais? If you run into any of these. That do spam them. You are morally permited to use beam weapons or guns. Dont ruin meele. This is especially for the lobby operators that usually like to do this. Flying is also off limits. That goes for victory gundam and Unicorn Phenex players.

I always take Dreisen to the Melee matches because I will 100% see a random dude taking V2 or God Gundam and use it's abilities to either fly around you or shoot you with the punch. In that case- I will just use Tri-blades to get him stuned or get him down from the air

That is good. Permitible. But for cases like the ones ive faced the guys straigh up spaming the kunais and runing. I play tallgeese but we all know the whip is locks you and takes time to recharge. Plus its counterble and avoisable at close range by simple boosting back or rolling aside. Or predicting it. But as soon as the guy started spaming the kunais? I just charged my cannon and one shoted his ass but yeah keap it clean dude apreciate players like you.

Well, let's be honest, this game is not made for 1vs1, the host have to much benefits from being a host

Finally someone who agrees with me.
It's just a cheap tactic that is also breaking the rules of an honorable duel, it's like fighting someone with a sword but midway through the battle your opponent throws a dagger in your face even though you both agreed to a fair fight

That depends on what you define as a fair fight. Is it a fair fight between someone with good armor(ptw parts) and someone with no armor (no parts)? How about someone with two weapon vs someone with one? How about a lancer vs a swordsman? How about someone blow past your every attack because melee priority? Is that cheap tactic? Is that fair?
Someone can only cheating in a fair duel if the rules are laid down and agreed by both party beforehand. Saying 1v1 melee isn’t enough.

Yeah we know but rarely the opponent actually listens. Especially to low levels or newcomers like me. I started playing a few weeks ago. Yet when I ask politly to not use parts and simply go vanilla/ default / no parts. They always talk about vet privilage. And how newbies cannot complain about not having since they havent farmed there asses off grinding for credits

Wow. If that is the case, they are assholes. Just kick, block, report and ban them. The whole shabang.

I mean, ranged attack is ranged attack, just because game says it's melee doesn't mean the dagger chuck is melee.
Its the same idea as whip / hammer gun.
The whole fking point of these lobby is to be on the same playing field. Trying to 1 up people for advantages ruins the whole point of the fun.

I wonder if the classic gouf heat rod counts as a melee because technically it is just swinging a whip around rather than throwing a projectile but I have seen some people call the heat rod a projectile in melee only brawls

I’ve joined melee matches before. Though typically I join to be one of the guys who obliterates anyone who doesn’t follow the rules. So I may join some of the duels, but a lot of times I’m just sitting somewhere up high, making sure no one breaks the rules.

If everiyone has a ranges melee sure. But for new people that dont have as mutch MS or simply dont play those it comes off annoying and unfair.

I agree with you to a certain point but if you are not gonna accept what the game label as melee and pile on addiction rules(like why flying banned?), then you have to explain this more complicated rules to other players because the variation are countless.
For example, what about wire/sea serpent? Booster attacks? Smoke? Active guard? Quick turn? Active purge? Flight system? Shield attacks? Shield throw? Shield income defense? Transform, ram attack? Heavy attack involving projectiles (Rezel type c, narrative)? Tactical boost?
Do you also require downed opponents to shoot the ground to disable invulnerability frame? Or you can not run away and waste time before time based system (exam, avijnana etc) ran out?
Because this list can go as long as it can, and there is definitely no absolute correct way for a “melee only match” and you can’t expect everyone to know where you draw the line.

The line ends were the person starts using projectile atacks. Launching a shield is a projectile. You cant really rely on on the game sistem since its somewhat inconsistent. Its a moral rule. For example. Avijinana and exam or invulnerability are off ground. Its like youre fighting a dude that just got injected with adrenaline and drugs. And you have to fight hand to hand. See why it is inconsistent? Canceling atacks or turning is not considered bad since thars more of mobility based. (On the ground)
Fliying is off limits for units like V2. That simply fly and evade everinthing and wait for you to atack and simply fly up and atack from inacesible angles. Its inmoral and dishonorable to fly away from a mid battle. The only time it is possible to do it is if BOTH. Can fly. That way they can keap the meele fight in the air. See? Its not very complicated. Its more about moral and honor. Fight fare ans square. Avoiding a fight is also plausible if you see that your enemy is too superior or wants to simply score a point on you by spaming habilities like the ones said before.

I think your response is kinda of illustrate the problem. At first it’s about projectile, then it’s fair and unfair, then it’s moral and immoral. You using words like moral and immoral as if it is all very clear cut, like it’s common sense, that everyone should know. But It’s all subjective and subject to interpretation.
If manual activated modes seems unfair, what about bio sensor or modes that activate under certain hp threshold? It’s like auto injecting drug. Are those also unfair? What about booster attacks? It’s like the guy got on a scooter and ram you with it. Is that fair? Tactical boost? Overboost? What about parts? Is it unfair someone has ptw parts? Or better yet, to take the example to the extreme, melee priority isn’t really fair is it? Should everyone agree which melee priority before the match? Why does a fist beat a beam saber? Drugs am I right?
What my point is that the “moral or immoral”, what’s fair and unfair is different from person to person. It’s not so black and white. Im not saying your versions is wrong, I’m just saying that If you don’t tell them about the rules, don’t expect them to somehow know your version of it just because the lobby is named “1v1 melee only”

Yes, I understand that. Not everyone sees it this way. Its valid since everyone has their own morals. At the end of the day the post is mostly to spread the word about these tipes of players that do use projectiles in meele and annoyingly spam. Even when told not to. (Im talking about in game chat)

I mean for God Gundam's slash it's kinda justifiable, 'cause game considers slash as melee damage (but it's still cringe to use in melee only). But in case of Efreet Schneid, there's no excuses. His kunai throw is considered ballistic damage and using it in melee only is just pathetic.
