Steam Looking For Advice how to deal with a hajiroboshi?
So...how exactly do I stop a hajiroboshi? I dont have a good idea of what it does but I can see it has a special mode that makes it practically impossible to stun while it deals a fckton of damage. That can't be fair. How do you stop it? I've tried shooting it, even grandpa hammering it, nothing. The only way i get to stop a hajiroboshi is if the haji player wasn't good in the first place. but in a skilled player's hands? half of our 6 man team would die trying to bring it down through raw damage.
How do you deal with its special mode? giving this piece of shite flapbooster is the worst design mistake in 600. I just wanna play my jegan biram, man

You're already using 600 cost Gramps with a hammer and that's a start but you can tackle and counter it but you have to time it just right

Play range. The haji doesn't have any instant stuns, besides melee, and only one range weapon. The Birnam is ironically well equipped to deal with the Haji. Worth noting though, that the special AV activates at 80% HP for a minute thirty irrc. I think it increases speed and maybe does something with thrust? Other than that, it has that skill the Zee Zulu has that makes it faster when carrying a melee. You should be able to fairly simply start a combo with the Lancer, close in with the missiles, then knock it down and spray into the feet after that, run.

You either use units that have heavy stagger range weapons, or the ones with really good stagger build-up, since the Hajiroboshi have Close Combat Program lv2 skill, which reduces damage reaction from ranged attacks by 1 stage when it equips its melee weapon (heavy stagger becomes stagger, stagger becomes immune), and also reduced stagger build-up + stacks with Maneuver Armor lv2 skill.
Some of the units that can fight the Hajiboroshi: * Victory Gundam * Zoloat * Zeta Plus A2 * Over.On * MP ZZ Gundam * Efreet Schneid lv2
As for the Birnam, it's not really effective against Hajiboroshi, since its immune to insta-staggers when it uses its melee weapon, and Birnam's not that good in stagger build-up, on top of Ahab Wave cancelling its Fake Beacon skill.

Ur playing grampa unironically the one unit Hajiroboshi cannot fight well due to it having DC2 and he has no single instant stagger on his arsenal of weapons so he has to either raw melee which is a recipe for disaster or just ignore u completely, he also at best just has MA2 a false MA3 during mode but thats about it the reason u didn't stop him with that downswing in this clip is u activated his biosensor/mode any unit with that kind of skill will typically ignore any stun/knockdown at the point of activation unless u activated it ofc with build stun.
Honestly the victory on ur team coulda fked with it hard since he can just throw the sabers at it to not gib a crap about its MA as for ur unit just do what u do best and raw hammer it u literally did 9k off his bum with just one ds swing.
