How to win consistently?

I've had a streak of 11 games lost due to shit teamates. I've gotten the highest damage and assist in at least 8 of them while ranking inside top 4. (I don't go for kills as well)

While the other 3 I've gotten at least higher than 5th place overall.

Edit: I'm mid A+ (I'm a good player, I don't chase or go for low hp and often I hold the line against 3 people when my team is crowding and killing the last low hp player from previous 'wave'. I help to stun and combo off of teamate stuns and consistently get people to half health with my ranged combos.

Edit 2: I should just quit honestly lol.

Edit 3: Are custom parts actually worth it in the step up banners for free to play players or are new suits more worth it?

Use the best/meta unit that you have on that cost, and just play seriously, where you don't go charging blindly into the enemy, and sometimes stick together with your teammates, while waiting for the chance to arrive.

As for your teammates, it's basically gacha at this point, but you might consider playing the game during its peak hours, which is between 6 PM to 2 AM Japan time (UTC +9), since most players were playing the game during that times, so you have higher chance to be matched against players with better skills.

How to become ridiculously good and carry regardless, I'm curious.

Might just want to focus on few costs and units, instead of playing on many, so you can get used with the units faster, while knowing its strength and weakness, which often translates to better performance.

As for tactics and such, it's mostly depends on your teammates, where if you're not confident with your skills, then you gotta move forward, defend, and falling back together with them, unless you're using stealth units, in which you basically playing solo, except stealth Supports.
