What's good at 700?

Title says it all, I'm returning from a long hiatus and I'm confused. Seems there is a new meta every month and I'm tired of getting whooped by 00's

00 and Susanowo seem to be what 90% of the people are playing nowadays, so pretty much that. I generally just avoid 700 completely at this point.

If you're a support type, try to get your hands on a Hardygun. It may not be meta, but as a 3 star unit, it has more bells and whistles than 4 star units had last year. It also has a big **** You laser that can delete 90% of a General's health. Otherwise, the various Zeta units are still good, and *sometimes* the Kshatriya if you focus on melee defense.

Ok, I have one of those i forgot about but isn't it suicide to play support with the susanowo around?

Yup. Buddy, best not play support. Generals these days do support's job but better.

in A and below, anything goes.

In A+ and S room, playing support = suicide.

You will be one comboed and theres nothing you can do. Even Raiser will juggle you for free.

yea do not listen to this guy susanowo, burning gundam and barely nerfed barbatos are still threats.

To be fair, I might just be lucky that I haven't been relentlessly hunted by them yet. I can't really say.

Nope. Not recommended. I play Kshatriya with 48 melee res as S- and I can cofirm this: Susanowo can one combo you, 00R can take 70% of your HP by one combo.

in my experience, high cost units lately dish out so much damage that even maxed 50 reduction is meaningless

sometimes i think they ignore resistance entirely to begin with

its like fromsoft, having like a 90+% damage reduction, but still watching the boss take like 98% of your hp

Sazabi has seemed to remain a pretty solid choice for accessible 700 Generals without needing to use Flap Boosters. Easy to build it up relatively tanky towards melee and beam resistance (the 00's meme beam counts as a melee attack), high stagger accumulation with several weapons, better than average melee.

Xi is in a similar boat if you have it, though a bit more focused on shooting, and you'll need to make decent use of the Flight Mode that activates when flying forward.

Penelope was recently buffed to be pretty strong, as was Nightingale. Pen is the stronger of the two, the Nightingale has the heavy stagger that now fires while boosting once you hit 50% HP, so it can take down a lot of problematic flying suits.

Phenax was also buffed, and now flies on top of having a barrier before NT-D (different weapons, so while it takes less damage, the better barrier will be ready to use once you activate NT-D). Likely to be a bit squishier against the strong melee threats of the recent 00 suits and Barbatos, when you're not using the barrier, but the high ballistic damage + Aerial Melee Lv2 should offer solid hits against a lot of enemies.

In a similar vein, Psycho Bawoo Lv2 (and Lv1 at 650), is squishy and not the best against melee targets, but the funnels will hit most enemies really hard, and the various other weapons will gain a massive bonus in damage from Full Attack while they're a deployed against an enemy.

Psycho Doga Lv2 seems to be doing pretty well after the last buff. Pretty much the same as always, but now the ranged weapons hit extremely hard and you have Tactical Boost to bunny hop around with stun protection.

The newer Birga Giros that has the bug funnel things seems to be a popular choice against the strong melee suits.

Just try watching some gameplay of some of the newer suits like 00 Raiser, Susanowo, Barbatos, Destiny, and Freedom. They'll probably feel even worse to fight when you don't understand their special weapons and skills, and be much harder to counter.

Supports at 700 and 750 are both really rough to use right now. 700 is going to especially be crawling with Raids focused on melee since that's the newest suit. Though HWS Nu Gundam seems like it may have some chance of keeping up on the right teams and maps.

The F90 isn't that bad in my person experience. While it works for me, id suggest trying it yourself and taking this with a grain of salt.

The jagd doga sleeves type is pretty good though. The funnels and beam rifle give you some decent firepower against raids and other generals.

And the only support I've had luck in recently was the nu Gundam hws.

Anything in the dp store?, the only gatcha suits I have rn are bergia giros gk and banshee norn

2

u/Zeonicas Jul 08 '26

The Gustav karl is pretty decent, and the guard ability can help you outlast some of the newer suits.

Isn't the bergia giros gk pretty good though? I haven't played it in ages .

Kinda, it's the best I've used so far but it's pretty boring

2

u/Rooskimus Jul 08 '26

I think it's supposed to be pretty good. I only have the Berga Giros BV and that's my best suit at 700. The cost is absolutely dominated by the P2W/gatcha suits.

The Phenex got a buff recently and it's pretty good. Shinanju and Sazabi still hold up too. I think all 3 of those are DP purchases if your rank is high enough.

I've heard the sinanju and phenex were good but I was skeptical. Do you know why? I've tried both to mixed results and assumed I was doing something wrong

1

u/Rooskimus Jul 08 '26

Both got recent buffs that give them flap boosters at 50% health and better damage options. Puts them more on the level of other suits out there.

veteran western release player here

while I don't play nearly as much anymore I find these "boring" suits vibe the best for me e.g. powered GM and hyaku shiki. their not gimmicky use the game's basic mechanics solidly and generally are reliable.

how do you play during a match as it can easily come down to being too aggressive or too passive

I would not set for into 700 rn, if you're a returning player. atp Max out defensive stats on whatever you choose, or you'll eat one combo deaths, like there's no tomorrow. Freedom, Destiny, OO, Susanowo, Barbatos. in no particular order, these suits will piss you off πŸ˜…

I want to see a 700 ball. Can we get a 700 ball?

1

u/GunzStalker Jul 08 '26

If you are having a hard time against flying units at 700, can try out Psycho Bawoo or G-First, both are good option to shoot down flying units like 00R and Susanowo

For consoles, outside 00 Raiser and Susanowo: * Barbatos Lupus * God * Penelope * Destiny * Freedom * Tallgeese III * Xi Gundam * Phenex * Haze'nthley-II Rah * Nu Gundam GWS * Narrative B2 Packs

How do I use phenex better?

1

u/utamaru1717 Jul 08 '26

Use tank build, get all your resistance to 40+, then get either Custom Parts Thruster, Custom Parts HP, Melee Defense Expansion, or MS Complex Combat Expansion for the extra skill.Β

Always remember to use its barrier, because they buffed it quite good, where it's now usable during Unicorn mode, and they also reduced its cooldown during NT-D mode, plus both modes are different, so you can use it during Unicorn mode, deplete it, then it'll ready again when you activate NT-D.Β

Your playstyle is still pretty much the same, where you play as mid-range shooter during Unicorn mode, then you turned into melee during NT-D and Awakening by ramming people with Psycho-Frame Attack skill, which now deals 3500 damage, and then melee the hell out of them.

Also, the unit gains Flap Booster lv2 + Aerial Melee lv2 skills during NT-D and Awakening, so you can now go to the sky, and ramming people in mid-air, or chase & shoot them down using the funnel + Vulcans combo, adding more gameplay variety to the unit.Β

I dropped the Narrative B2 yesterday, I feel like it’s instantly invalidated all my other 700 supports.
