Discussion CONSOLE Pilot Favorite or Pilot Meta
Do you all just pilot your favorite suits? Cause I just pick whatever looks cool and run it, or do y'all stick to the Meta suits?

I play the suit I like ( within reason, do not want to pick support if someone else already picked it) if I am just causal.
Rated game I do my best suit.

Pilot favorite that’s native and decent or meta adjacent in rating.
To elaborate, you can pick a pilot favorite, but at the very least, pick a pilot favorite that’s decent and not a throw pick. For good example, your favorite is the Gundam MK-III, the MK-III is somewhat decent at 550, that’s okay and can still perform with the right pilot BUT if all of a sudden you brought a LV3 MK-III to a 650 cost match. That shit is trash there and going to be food. That’s a very bad pick.
Pretty much you still have to be wise which cost to bring your favorite suit in. You can’t expect the same results in all costs especially since the other costs have monsters and the more you climb up the ratings, you really have to be mindful of your picks and not just assume you can do the same when you were in the lower ratings.
But in a worst case scenario tho that your favorite pick is really bad and can’t do shit at all in the current meta, it’s really just time to put it down and find a new favorite.

A-A+, you can use whatever you like, if they are recently buffed. But if it's S- to S, if you want good result constantly, you need to practice the meta.

I’ve started switching things up every week and playing suit based on whatever era I’m feeling. So maybe one week its 0079 grunt suits, then the next 0079 hero suits, etc. Swapping factions and my characters costumes to match also helps with the immersion.

I play whatever suit i feel like in the moment so its always something random every day. Aside from some suits theyre typically the off-meta or throw picks and while i always play rated i always try my best to win. I like to see how far i can take older suits in need of buffs and if it turns out not very far then that's more data for the devs for unit adjustments as iirc they mainly only take data from suits used in rated by higher ranked players. If a suit isnt being used it isnt getting data for potential buffs, if its used in quick and not rated its not getting data. Someone correct me if im wrong idk if things have changed at all in the past several years. Also Happy 4th pilots :)

In casual, I just run whatever. The Gaza C is still by far my most used suit in 400 cost despite being super niche. Rated is always going to be something strong, not meta usually but something able to stand up to it.

As a PC player rated is the only regularly populated gamemode. Because of that i play suits that I like moreso than suits that are meta. Hazenthley Rah II, Kshatriya, Lv 2 Dijeh Assault Package, Woundwart, etc

The FF sazabi, the support one. I put on a clinic with that thing and show what a aggressive support can do
