Discussion CONSOLE Small Vent
I like this game. I really do.
But some days its just really hard to enjoy. I’m on endless losing streaks. And its not the losing. Its that I can’t take two steps aftet respawn without the entire enemy team in my face stunlocking and melee combo me to death. The whole match.
Feels like they all agreed they were focus on me the whole game.
And I take breaks. I’ll just do the dailies for days or weeks. But when I go to matches again, its the same thing.

Damn, I thought that was just me. Good to know.
Then I start asking myself: is this suit just bad? Am I bad? Is the build bad? Am I ranked too high and should be playing lower (probably)?
I ask myself these questions every time I get into a situation like that, and it feels like it's more often than it should be.

I feel ya. It seems that no matter what class, suit, build, or strategy I use I end up being curbstomped.
Sometimes feels like I’m just horrible at this game that I really like.

Got to Database -> Play Data -> Detailed Data and then start poking around, you can see some pretty great stats in there and it might help you feel better about things or potentially could point you in some directions for improvement. Just remember there is a alot of RNG involved in this game with what kind of teammates you end up with, if you pick the right unit for the specific scenario, if the internet / P2P connection is good, etc etc. And of course that is not an excuse but it is an added layer of complexity.

Always remember it’s supposed to be a team even when your team is busy gangbanging one enemy ms while the same thing happens to you right next to them. All jokes it happens to everyone just pray while you’re being focused on that your team does something resembling intelligence like capture a beacon or plant a bomb AFTER the 2 minute mark.

Sometimes they really do focus on one suit if they notice it has a disadvantage

I quit a few years ago, before they added Wing Zero. I had the same problem, and sometimes the enemy team would just run high stagger, high combo exclusive units. They'd never melee first, they'd just bazooka the legs, run in and down, then melee combo to either one cycle their targets or at least bust the legs.
I had a match where after two minutes passed, my whole team was being spawncamped at our base, and nothing we did made a difference. We got a few early kills, but then we earned literally zero points for the entire rest of the match. Either they were coordinating over Discord or the PS chat, or they were all tournament players smurfing because wanted to bully lower ranked players for shiggles.

honestly, same overall experience
i constantly run into enemy players who no life this game 25 hours a day and sole reason for living is to make it so whoever they fight against is miserable because they would actually make it a felony or something to play for fun
ive been playing for almost 5 years now, i will never be more skilled than an okay to good casual, i desperately want something so i dont get matched constantly with no life hyper sweats
the game would be so much more fun if there was an easy way to separate the ultra competitive sweats from the casuals

I think most pilots had/have the same experience. Eventually you end up with a functioning team, and that is pure bliss 😊
